As early as 2011-and as he ran for office in 2015- Donald Trump said he would not allow Iran to get the nuclear bomb-
And over the weekend-he made good on that promise. He acted to do-what no other president would do-and take care of this 30 year looming threat over Israel, America and the west-and now we’ll see what the fallout is.
But- given how close to ‘getting the bomb’ Iran was-president Trump really had no other choice. I know that some of the isolationists and members of the so-called ‘intelligence community’- like Tulsi Gabbard- are now trying to insist that Iran wasn’t that close to going nuclear- but according to every other global expert-they are wrong- and I’ll go thru the reasons that ‘others’ believe US intel has it so wrong-later on-
But the short version is ever since blowing their predictions on Saddam’s chemical weapons- us intelligence has been ‘weak and gullible’ on this question.
President Trump, himself, told reporters that Tulsi and the NSA had the assessment wrong.
So, not only did Trump act, but these actions actually create an opportunity for a more peaceful middle east- if the countries in that region understand that this is a ‘red line’ for the west and respond accordingly: such as-put your money into building up your own countries and your own prosperity-rather than wasting it on ‘making wars’ that you cannot win.
President Trump isn’t worried about nation-building in Iran- if this regime falls.He’s simply interested in erasing this never-ending threat to westerners.

And Trump gave the ayatollah and Iranian leaders every chance he could to resolve this peacefully- and is still talking about them ‘choosing to make a peace deal’...after an unconditional surrender...
And so, the international community-including Iran’s allies- cannot say the mullahs weren’t sufficiently warned.
Even after all the threats- as the Wall St Journal editors put it: the Ayaytolla wanted a bomb more than peace.
Yes. After that had become clear- President Trump’s choices were limited.
Good for President Trump ‘meeting the moment’ when neither President Obama nor President Biden would.
Heck-Obama was sending these evil madmen pallets of cash. Trump sent them bunker-buster bombs.
Obama and Biden constantly and consistently bowed to Iranian demands and intimidation. The larger left has had a policy of appeasement that some of us knew was-never-going to work. Because you can’t negotiate with mad men-
Nor can you negotiate with religious zealots who simply want you dead. And Iran’s regime- and the terror sects they have spawned and financed- are religious zealots who simply want us dead.
They’ve never had any interest in negotiating with us-that wasn’t required to get them out of a jam. This time, we finally had a president who wouldn’t fall for it.... or simply take the path of least diplomatic resistance.
According to the Wall St Journal- President Trump didn’t give the final ‘go ahead’ on this mission until a few hours before it happened on Saturday- and once he gave the order- he wanted it done quickly- so no leaks could get out.
And they didn’t.
The global intel community is universally applauding the trump and u-s teams for giving ‘no hint’ that anything was coming-and even creating a diversion to keep the Iranians and their allies off guard.
But once he made his decision-it was a ‘go’. The weather conditions were right. The moon conditions were right.
And he followed it up with a call to say, ‘that was a ‘one-time thing’, unless you target Americans. He told them- as he told the nation Saturday night-
‘Future attacks will be far greater and a lot easier. There will be either peace, or there will be tragedy for Iran’.
And the big worry is over retaliation, of course: will Iran’s military target regional American outposts in the middle east- and will Iran’s mullah’s ‘activate’ terror cells that might have sneaked into this country over Joe Biden’s open border?
That’s the major worry, now: some bloviating members of Iran’s government and revolutionary guard were saying on social media: okay, now the war can start. Now that America has hit us, we can hit them.
And I’m not saying it isn’t a real worry. It is. But I’d also remind you that we’ve got a 40-year history of Iranian leaders ‘talking tough’ and telling their own people they ‘can’ and ‘will’ do things that they cannot and will not do.
And so, truth be told, no one really knows what comes next.
I just wish President Biden, and the democrats wouldn’t have intentionally allowed our borders to be open for four years- with ten to fifteen million people flooding in from all over the globe.
I think ‘domestic terrorism’ must be our biggest worry now, in the wake of these bombings.In part, because it might be the ‘only play’ that these evil mullahs have left. We can see any hostile troop movements. We can knock down most missile attacks.
The biggest worry has got to be -about the sneak attacks we are completely unprepared for.
Which reminds me of the ‘secretive and deceptive nature’ of this attack, again. Let’s get back to having Trump’s pentagon running a ‘ruse’ on the world’s intelligence community as a way to set up Saturday’s attacks.
They sent B-2 bombers to the middle east- earlier...with the bunker busters needed to do this job...and already had them in place.
And yes, I did see a few small blurbs when those planes left last week or the week before. I forget which.
But- then- Trump claimed he was giving himself a two-week window on this. Everyone relaxed a little.
Then-on Saturday morning- six B-2 bombers left Whiteman air force base in Missouri- headed for Guam. And the western news media got sucked in and assumed those would be the planes doing the damage- and if it’s aa 15-hour flight...yada yada. Do the math-

They manufactured a media event that led the mullahs to believe they had more time to react to trump’s warnings.
Most impressive for those at the pentagon and in the intel, community is that there wasn’t a single leak. Fox’s pentagon reporter, Jennifer Granholm, has been covering the pentagon for fifteen years-and said- we’ve never seen this sort of ‘success’ when it comes to ‘keeping the secret’. Most of it is- on the inside-never saw it coming.
No one-globally- knew about this mission until after it was over.
It was only after the B-2s had cleared Iranian airspace and after the US subs had hit their targets, too, that President Trump posted on social media about a successful operation.
I happened to be checking X... just as Trump posted it. My X feed had it as ‘three minutes ago’ this post went up...and it was the first anyone had heard about it.
That had media outlet scrambling-and it took most of them half an hour to 45 minutes just to get anything on the air. They had no sound. No video. No experts lined up.
It had come out of ‘nowhere’ on them.
This was a massively successful military and intelligence achievement-and will go down in history as such. It really will.
In fact-Greg-give me Bebe Netanyahu, here, who congratulated the Americans on such a ‘history changing’ moment.
In several ways-this really is- a re-establishment of American and western nuclear deterrence.
It’s even a reminder to Russia and China that ‘America can only be pushed so far...or jerked around so much....before we run out of patience.’
