Fyi – the 9th circuit court of appeals- out in California- appears to be siding with president trump on the question of whether he can call up the national guard- even if it’s against the wishes of a state’s governor- like Gavin Newsom.
I’ve been saying that Trump should win on the constitutional merits of this-but given that it was the notoriously liberal and kooky ninth circuit- I wasn’t certain.
I also noted-though- that Trump and Mitch had put a few more conservatives onto this court during trump’s first term-and so-the kookier rulings were at least ‘less frequent’.
Well- guess what?
On a panel of three judges assigned to hear this appeal-two are Trump appointees. The other is a Biden appointee.
All three heard the oral arguments on Tuesday....and even the Judge Biden put on the court said.... ah...there’s long-standing supreme court precedent here, Gavin. The president has broad discretion when it comes to when he or she feels the guard needs to be called out.
The Trump appointees weren’t impressed with the state of California’s arguments, either, and so, I’d anticipate a 3- zero decision that validates Governor Newsom, and his supporters are ‘all wet’ when they insist Newsom has the ‘power position’ when it comes to controlling the California national guard.
This appeals court is going to slap back another one of those lower court liberal justices who simply wanted to block trump with made-up claims.
That district judge-Charles Breyer- claimed trump needed to do more to justify his deployment of the national guard.
Why?
And by who’s authority? This lower court judge cannot demand-that the executive leader of ‘all the land’ needs to further explain himself to a lowly judge- or even the country- before he calls out the national guard or military members. No where in the constitution-or in past supreme court president-does it say that.
Yeah, it’s the ‘explain yourself better’ clause. I think it’s in the 5th amendment.
No. It’s not.
Meanwhile- California’s democrats are -really-starting to reveal to the world ‘just who they are-and what they stand for’.
Did you see that-as more and more citizens call for places like l-a and NY to adopt a ‘no mask’ rule for the rioters- so that they can be more easily identified with facial recognition programs and by their fellow citizens-
The leaders of Los Angeles and California have zero interest in that-but want to pass a law unmasking the ice agents and cops who are putting their lives on the line in this raid...and in these riots?
This is unconscionable.
An absolute ‘clown’ of a state lawmaker out there- Scott Weiner- has introduced a bill that would ban law enforcers from wearing masks to hide their identity.
This is after an acting ice director out in Boston-just explained to the leftist media and the country- why many ice agents were wearing facial masking of some sort: because the pro-criminal, pro-thug activists are working overtime to identify, dox, harass, and target individual agents.
There are some people and leaders who are specifically ‘vowing’ to do it.
After some idiot reporters spouted the activist company line in front of him-that these masks were to hide the identities of Trump’s secret police....
Todd Lyons-this ICE director out in Boston recently said- those masks are for the protection of our law enforcers:
So that’s the reason for masked ICE agents. And it’s logical and reasonable and I’m guessing at least 70 to 75 percent of Americans would agree.
But- to the America-hating, trump-hating left....by God...we need to know who trump’s shock troops are- so we can out them, target them and their families, and destroy them.
Enter- Senator Weiner’ here, and other dem lawmakers are introducing a ban on local, state, and federal law enforcement members from covering their faces when dealing with the public.
It’s like they-want- to see decent people killed. These are men and women who are simply doing their jobs- and-
Moreover, they are doing very difficult and sometimes dangerous jobs- on behalf of ‘we, the people. We should be agreeing to help protect and support them any way we can.
Nope.
Not California democrats-who all seem to be America-hating socialists at heart, just like their activist grassroots.
Shameful. Legitimately shameful.
Ice says assaults against ice agents are up over 400 percent so far this year, and in some of these larger cities, they are being doxed, and they and their families are being harassed. Including their children.
In California, law enforcement agency leaders-and their union leaders- are blasting this new proposal.
Trump’s civil rights attorney, Harmeet Dhillon, called Weiner an ignorant fool, apparently.
And he is.
Imagine how twisted the left’s priorities are- in California: they want to protect the right for terroristic rioters to hide their identities behind masks...so they can get away with their crimes....
But they want to unmask law enforcers so they can be more easily identified and doxed.
This is today’s left-and today’s democrat party out in California.
Wiener thinks targeting these agents and harming their families and homes is perfectly fine.
But....what does wiener’s proposal suggest- if not that?
He and any lawmaker who supports his bill is advocating-for- outing, doxxing and harassment law enforcers-at any level-
And even setting them up for harm to come to them and their families.
This is a completely indefensible bill. And I hope the others in the Sacramento state house have the sense to allow this to die in a desk drawer- rather than be brought up for a vote.
And if- if- the California legislature is actually radical enough and stupid enough to pass it- I hope that Gavin Newsom is at least smart enough to veto it.
He wants to be president, after all: how would that signature look on his resume in 2028: you signed a law that makes it easier to have haters, criminals and thugs target law enforcement-at all levels? What’s wrong with you?
More and more elected democrats are proving that they are America-hating, law and order hating, socialists.
It’s more than that: this group of Soros-funded, modern era socialist progressives was growing and ‘on the march’ long before President Trump entered the scene and won office.
In a way-both of his elections-were a response to this increasingly radical and anti-America socialist horde.
This isn’t all happening because they ‘hate Trump’. It’s all happening because they ‘hate America’ and Trump is the most prominent figure defending it.
