Jay Weber Show transcript 6-12-25
Some of you have probably heard the name: David Ignatius.
He’s a long, long, longtime Washington Post columnist...and he is- not- conservative. He’s a Cambridge kid who went to Harvard and has lived an elite, insider’s life. He’s a pretty run-of-the mill lefty, if you ask me. He’d insist he’s a fair and balanced journalist, but you can see in his work and in his columns he’s not.
And he certainly isn’t a trump supporter. And so...when David Ignatius comes out and admits that the democrats have completely screwed themselves on immigration and border politics-
It’s noteworthy.
Moreover-it’s the sort of column that the east coast insiders are going to be talking about this week-because the ‘great sage...David Ignatius’...said it.
And it’s a pretty good column.
If even the Trump hating, republican hating David Ignatius understands that ‘nothing gets better’ for today’s democrat party unless they abandon their open borders/ anti-America attitude here.... We really are finally seeing the dam break.
I started off the show by saying: i hate to jinx it...but this second trump term is starting to feel ‘different’ to me. I see a two-decade long political logjam in America...starting to break apart, here.
Trump and the pro-America Americans really seem to be ‘rolling’ and ‘winning’ here...as the Trump hating and America hating leftists really start to be losing their grip on just about anything...or any issue.
Again-I hate to even whisper it- for fear of ruining it....but....our long-time political stalemate in this country may just be coming to an end.
I think-to most Americans, this is starting to look and feel like it ‘really is morning in America, again’....and if you don’t want to participate in it...shut up and get out of the way.
I might be all wet-but -i get the sense that the last 2 decades of leftist nonsense have built up behind a dam that the American people are now willing to open-and let wash down the river and into history. This moronic, anti-intellectual era of cry bullying and leftism. We’ve had enough. It must end.
At least that’s my hope.
But that doesn’t mean it isn’t going to take a while to wash the sewage and the idiots who spew it down the river anyway.
For example: this week, Karen Bass and Gavin Newsom have both exposed themselves as unserious imbecilic, yet again.
They’re complaining that ice officers were engaging in acts of law enforcement after the American people elected president trump to do so.
She and Newsom are both siding with the rioters who are waving the Mexican and Palestinian flags. That can’t be going over well with the American people- or even ‘the state of California’.
The America-hating leftists on the la city council have demanded that the chief of the LAPD notify them every time he gets a notification from ice about a new arrest or operation that’s being planned.
The elected-civilian- city council members are demanding to be notified ahead of time of all secret operations that federal law enforcers in their area are planning.... before they ‘go down’.
Why?
Why?
So-they -as elected leftists-can decide whether they should alert the illegals or blow the operation...that law enforcement was planned. That’s why.
The LAPD chief had to explain to them this week that such notification would be illegal. And he had to use small words. Because he was speaking to imbeciles.
Several of the council members were furious at him. Raging at him. Because he said it was quote...completely inappropriate and illegal...so he wouldn’t do it.
This is the level of America-hating, law-and-order-hating people we are dealing with here, on today’s left. And there’s no reason that any of us should have to put up with it.
Sadly, the moron voters in California and LA keep electing these radical people to the office.
But-
The response to the la riots really does show why today’s democrats are in the political wilderness.
Why does their party have a 27 percent approval rating?
Look at LA. That’s why.
Rasmussen tracking poll puts Trump’s approval rating at a whopping 56 percent this week. It’s the highest it’s ever been. Based on his handling of these raids- as compared to the lawlessness the democrat leaders have been defending.
There is precisely-zero reason- to believe that the democrats have taken the right side of these immigration and border issues.
There is -zero reason-to believe that they are on the right side of the deportation question.
So, what are they doing?
Back to this good column. Whose author I forgot to record:
Republicans are being given such a political gift here, that all they need to do is make sure the American people understand how unhinged today’s democrat leaders are.
And it’s the voters on the coasts who need to hear this message the most: today’s democrat party is an unhinged, America-hating, foreign invading, group of people.
Stop Voting Democrat.
The other thing they need to know: The LA riots, just like the LA wildfires represent a massive failure of today's socialist progressive leadership.
People like Karen Bass and Gavin Newsom prove that today’s so-called progressives.... are just gullible pretenders and theater kids pushing socialism.
That’s’ all the new leaders of today’s democrat party really are. Every city they’ve been asked by voters to run- is a nightmare.And they weren’t all that hot-before-the progressives arrived, and the more traditional liberal democrats were running them.
How would have thought that cities like LA, NY, San Francisco, Seattle, Portland, and Chicago could slide to even lower depths. Become even bigger hellholes...than they were under liberal democrat governance?
But- the Soros DAs and Soros backed mayors like Brandon Johnson...have done it. In just a few short years...they’ve managed to harm these cities even more-and in a few- like San Francisco and Chicago- leave them genuine hell holes...with poop-stained streets and burned-out shopping districts and bag lady prostitutes...
But...
For the first time in my lifetime of watching politics...I’m genuinely starting to wonder...how do the democrats ‘come back from this?
Or- is this where their party is staying, now?
Is the 21st century really going to be the era in which we ‘lose America’...and nearly everything it once stood for?
Because virtually everything that today’s version of the democrats' party stands for? Is genuinely antithetical to America’s founding, constitution, and ‘lasting ideals.
