CNN isn’t going to reform and restore its image as an unbiased news source until or unless it fires all the on-air people who have spent the last 10 to 20 years -proving they are really lefties to the audience. Everyone from jake tapper to Anderson Cooper to wolf blitzer really ‘needs to go’...before that will happen.
But i do see ‘evidence’ that today’s CNN execs are at least open to ‘getting back to’ more credible coverage. Things like signing Scott Jennings to a long-term contract to sit on their political panels-even though he ‘smokes’ the lefty panelists pretty much every time he’s on.
Okay, finally CNN is employing an ‘actual’ conservative who will ‘actually make’ the conservative argument...instead of hiring a Bill Kristol or a David Brooks...who will only give a slightly less ‘lefty’ comment and pretend that’s balancing the bias.
Another sign: data cruncher Harry Enten being allowed to tell the truth- and even ‘seek out’ narratives on the left that need to be shot down.
I’ve said I like this guy- for his ‘Mr. Rogers’ brand of enthusiasm if nothing more-
But I like that he’s not just ‘validating’ anti-trump narratives with twisted data every day- which is what these fact checkers on the left were invented to do. Not really check facts. But ‘validate’ the false left-wing narratives.
Well-Harry Enten seems to be an actual ‘honest broker’ who is willing to ‘admit’ to what ‘this or that’ is. Yesterday- he was shocked by new CNN data that shows about six in ten Americans want all. All.Illegal aliens deported.
This finding even surprises me, as someone who has watched this border and illegal immigration issue play out for 30 years. You can go back to the bush and Clinton administrations, and you will not find any point in time in which most Americans said ‘deport them all’.
For as long as I’ve been watching current events, Americans have always had a soft spot for those ‘otherwise peaceful’ illegal foreigners who only came here to make a better life for themselves.
Well- this new CNN data proves to me that Joe Biden’s open borders have ‘broken’ that longstanding sentiment with most Americans. This is really something.
And Enten is right: this represents an earth-shaking shift in how most Americans view quote...otherwise peaceful...illegal aliens.
56 percent of Americans say, ‘deport them all’...when ...back in 2016.when trump first won office...only 38 percent of Americans said, ‘deport me all’.
And the leftists would insist that this is a ‘Trump effect’. He’s poisoned the hearts of huge numbers of Americans by vilifying illegals...etc.
That’d be their explanation for this. But they’d be wrong. This isn’t a ‘Trump effect’. This is a ‘Biden effect’. Trump is simply the guy who promised to deal with our very real runaway border control problems and our -very real- elevated crime problems-due to all the illegals Biden was letting into the country unvetted.
This is one reason why the democrats -are not-getting the sort of sympathy or traction that they think they are getting by siding with a dangerous, wife abusing, MS-13 gang member instead of siding with the American people.
The American people are fed up with this double-standard on the left that Biden’s regime and their entire party tent is using to flood our country-indiscriminately-with 15 or 20 million new foreigners....and then insist each one of them are ‘angels’ with ‘individual rights’ and ‘a right to due process’ as trump tries to deport them.

JD Vance posted yesterday: where was the due process for the American people-and of these foreigners- as Joe Biden let them in? None of them were even actually ‘processed’. But now the left insists they all need ‘due process’ as we deport them?

None of us got any say about whether we wanted to see a flood of 20 million more illegals- or how and ‘whether’ we wanted to pay for them. There was no ‘process’ of checking with us, the actual ‘citizens’ of America before the leftist pulled that treasonous stunt on us...
But we’re supposed to worry over ‘due process’ for every thug and murdered now? As we try to deport them?
The Washington Examiner editors have a strong editorial today in which they say ‘due process’ is not a one-way ratchet for the crowd of open borders.
That’s a great way to put it:
And it is why I’ve been saying president Trump will eventually win all these cases-
But it’s wrong that John Roberts' supreme court is even allowing this ‘lower court farce’ to go on.
We have leftist judges making decisions that they-have to know-will not stand- but hey, they’re doing their part to slow and stop Trump. And styme the legal process.
As judges. That’s a violation of their oaths of office.
This ms-13 jackass- Kilmer Abrego Garcia- is not- going to be flown back to America and be allowed to stay. It’s not happening. And everyone on the left who isn’t a moron has got to know it.
But they and their lying democrat leaders think the bulk of the American people are dumb enough to believe all the gaslighting and the spin. This man-was not-here legally. He is-not- some innocent or ‘wrongly accused’ Maryland father. He wasn’t ‘abducted’ off the streets and deported.
And-contrary to the relentless accusations on the left- the trump administration-is not- defying court orders or creating a constitutional crisis here.
The supreme court decision last week-did not- order the trump team to bring Garcia back to America. It acknowledged that the courts can’t do that. They have no jurisdiction if the president has made the decision.
And yes, in the wake of that ruling, a lower court judge- yet again-tried to demand that the trump admin ‘facilitate’ the return of this illegal thug. But it can’t demand it be done.
And-since this was a lower court judge, again, the Trump legal team filed notice yesterday that they will appeal that order...meaning it must move up to an appeals court at the very least...etc.
The left and their accomplices in the media insist on portraying this as trump ‘defying’ or ‘ignoring’ court orders...but he’s really not: at least not any more than when President Obama kept the DACA program in place-and up and running- after a district judge in Texas ordered it to be shut down. Obama’s team said...nope, we’d like to appeal first... And did.
This isn’t any different than when President Biden’s team kept the rental assistance program and student loan bailouts going- after district judges ruled them illegal. Biden and his team actually-boasted-about plowing ahead thru the appeals process.
But now-it’s a constitutional crisis if Trump, does it? Should his legal team be held in contempt of court and jailed?
Come on.It’s the same rabid and hypocritical double standard that we always get from the left. Don’t let them fool you.
And for the record-Trump’s team appears to be complying with a few court orders that appear to be unconstitutional, themselves-
As in this judge doesn’t have the authority to order that a president or white house ‘do this’ or ‘do that’.
Trump’s team can say ‘nope’. Because the Supreme Court order did not demand that they aid in Garcia’s return to America...it simply suggested they do so. The court decision made it clear that the lower court couldn’t order it done.
So, this is all subterfuge and gaslighting to claim Trump is violating court orders and creating a constitutional crisis.
He’s not. But the left is- trying to- with every possible move they can make.
