This is going to be sort of an unorthodox winning segment: not just a list of things getting done.
But- here’s enough winning included that we’ll put it under that banner. It’s nearly all ‘doge related’.
So...as we talk about doge- and govt efficiency- and cost cutting efforts-
You need to remember that there are two separate categories of items here: one set of cuts and moves that president trump and Elon Musk’s doge people-can make on their own- because those are things that fall under the sole authority of the executive branch-
And the second category is of cuts and moves that can only be done with congressional authority, because they were created by congress, or controlled by congress’s spending authority.
And it can get confusing: for example, this weekend, in another ‘win’ for the country, the trump department of homeland security canceled collective bargaining powers for our TSA agents. Those who scan us at the airport.
You’d think that such a move would take congressional approval, but nope: not the way the TSA was set up.
The agency was created in the wake of 9-11-by congress in 2002- but the issue of whether this batch of govt workers was going to be allowed to unionize was a major sticking point: president bush insisted-no- i will not sign any bill that has that inclusion, because we can’t have the people who are responsible for air security being able to walk off the job and hold US and the entire air travel system- hostage- over better wages.
And so- the TSA was created without TSA workers being able to unionize or collectively bargain.
Then-once Barrack Obama got into office-he allowed it-via presidential order. So now, Trump’s team is saying ‘that was a mistake’ and homeland security sect Kristi Noem just announced that the TSA agent’s collective bargaining rights are being rescinded.
Why?
Because- as you might expect- we are getting a lot less work and a lot more ‘suck’ out of these TSA agents ever since they unionized.
And there are bound to be lawsuits-but- it appears that -thanks to George Bush standing firm on that matter back in 2002- president Trump has the authority to ‘undo’ the action that President Obama took after he got into office.
See how this works?
The basic rule is: if one president put it into place, another president can alter it or kill it off...
But if congress put it into place...it takes congress to alter it or kill it off. At least permanently.
This is why Trump-on his own-cannot kill off the dept of education. He can only affect certain changes to it-and urge congress to kill it off.
But reversing Obama’s move to unionize tens of thousands more govt workers-whose union than immediately followed the normal pattern and started bilking the taxpayers and destroying the morale of TSA agents?
That’s a win.

Another quick DOGE win you might have heard about over the weekend: the dept of veteran affairs says it has canceled a federal contract that has we, the people, paying a company 56-thousand dollars a year to water-eight live plants. Eight.
This VA contract was drawn up and handed out: 56-grand for a company to come in and water eight. Plants. Eight. Over the course of five years. That works out to paying 14-hundred dollars per plant, per year, for these ‘watering services.
As Elon musk announced its’ cancellation
And again-those items will need to be ‘zeroed out’ by Collins in the next budget congress passes-but-
Over two billion in savings goes -to veteran care-instead of to wasteful spending-
And eight plants either live or die based on whether someone else steps up to water them. Fine.
Those are some great wins for taxpayers.

So, those are the new ‘wins’ we can flag for today- but since we are on the topic of doge-you might have seen the left, and Rachel Maddow, and the stooges at MSNBC claim that president trump was lying when he said we were wasting taxpayer money to try to create transgender mice?
Remember that line in his state of the union speech?
Trump said- and we’re spending 8-million dollars trying to create transgender mice- or something similar?
And it was a claim the left chose to challenge-and insist trump was lying about- immediately after his speech ended.
But Trump wasn’t lying. And so, the next day, anyone with any integrity had to make the correction: we were wrong on that, trump was accurate.
Well- the Washington Times have gone further-and investigated some of the wasteful spending that Anthony Fauci’s rancidly run organization -the national institutes of health- is funding.
Dr. Fauci retired, but for decades- he oversaw this agency and heavily influenced its mission- correct?
Right along with all the other DC lefties?
So, it’s no surprise that- when it comes to gender studies on animals-the NIH is wasting at least 65-million dollars of our taxpayer dollars on them.
In a way-this angry claim that trump was lying about the transgender mice- is going to bring more attention to the other lunacy our tax dollars are being wasted on.
We taxpayers are spending ten-million dollars to try to turn gay goats- straight. That’s what this study is.
And researchers in Oregon said- oh, hey, but this is a great animal to test-because 8 percent of rams are gay.
What?
Yeah. This is how they got their funding: we will identify the gay rams-which is easy enough- they’re the ones ‘doing each other’....and then we’ll try to turn them straight with infusions of testosterone.
And someone- or some board of experts- at Anthony Fauci’s NIH said- great- we’ll send you the ten million. Can’t wait to get that study started.
Another waste of tax dollars is going on at Tulane...where researchers got 11.2 million dollars to implant capsules in female mice that will slow-release testosterone in them- to see if they turn lesbian.
So far- six of the ten have started to wear flannel and two have started to carry chain wallets.
No- that last part I made up. The study is allegedly to understand how testosterone treatments affect women who transition to men.
But what a waste of tax dollars.
Of course, all the researchers want to defend their research- but then they can find the funding elsewhere: nothing says the US taxpayers need to fund any of this. Any of it.
Let’s see if you find value in this study-which is-also getting your govt funding: the university of Michigan got seven million dollars to study mice and quote.... how transmasculine pubertal suppression affects the Achilles tendon.
Boy, that’s a specific study. Whether suppressing puberty affects the Achilles tendon.
What’s the need for this study?
Do we have transgender drag queens snapping their Achilles on the catwalk?
I joke, but I’ll get emails: Jay, drag queen ankle is a real thing...
I know two Lizzas, a Gaga, and a Marilyn Monroe whose careers have ended with Achilles injuries.
Alright. Whatever.
Whenever our taxpayer dollars aren’t going to crap, it’s a win.
