I can’t tell you how much this tickles me: Jill Biden so upset at the ‘betrayal’ of Nancy Pelosi that she wants to air their dirty laundry to the Washington Post.
Fantastic.
“We were friends for 50 years”, “It was disappointing.” “Let’s just say I was disappointed with how it unfolded”
Jill and Joe are miffed at Nancy and still stinging at the betrayal.
Now-here’s the thing: here’s how your average democrat is going to process this: well, Pelosi still did the right thing. She saw that Joe Biden had slipped to the point that he clearly could not do this job another four years...and so.... she did the right thing. You might not like the kids taking away grandpa’s keys...but it’s the right thing to do. Pelosi was the adult in dc willing to do it, even if Jill Biden didn’t like it. She-jill-wasn’t willing to make the obvious call on behalf of her own husband...so...nuts to jill.
Okay. I’d agree. That would be a reasonable take on this-except-
Ask yourself this: if joe’s mental decline hadn’t been put on display in that debate for all of America and the globe to see- would Pelosi have approached Joe and Jill-at all? - and insisted he needed to do the right thing for the country and step down?
We all know the answer to that is ‘no’. Because Pelosi and the most powerful dc democrats had to know. Had to know. How bad Joe was.
Remember- Nancy Pelosi took an active part in hiding senator Diane Feinstein’s dementia...and John Conyer’s dementia and failing health. Both needed to have full-time nursing care with them-at the capital- because they refused to resign even after they were clearly no longer capable of doing the job-
And Pelosi protected and hid their conditions from the public. She was an active participant in hiding joe Biden’s. From the very start of his presidency, his team and those close to him -have now admitted-Joe was failing mentally and physically. Pelosi gladly helped hide that for four years.
The only reason she approached Biden to drop out was- the jig was up. She and the others could no longer hide it. And so- for the good of the party-
Not for the good of the country-
If Pelosi’s move had been for the good of the country, she would have said something in 2020, or 2021, or 2022, or 2023. Right?
No, she only, finally, acted-for the good of the party- after joe’s dementia was going to harm their changes to keep holding congressional and gubernatorial power....
And so, no, Pelosi doesn’t get any credit for shoving Biden out- nor does the attempt to portray her as the ‘adult who made the hard call’ even when Jill Biden wouldn’t.
Because Pelosi’s move wasn’t because she cared about Joe Biden. There was no -compassionate-reason that Pelosi said, ‘Joe can’t do this anymore’.
No, it was a cold, calculating reason. Her action wasn’t ‘guiding joe into his retirement chair’. Her action was shoving an old and confused Joe Biden down the basement steps.
Let’s not read any ‘compassion’ into Pelosi’s move to shove Biden off the ticket.
That’s why Jill Biden feels so betrayed. She loves being a first lady. She’s been perfectly willing to use Joe...as a human husk....to keep herself in power and in the limelight and enjoying the privilege and trappings of dc.
And dammit- Nancy ruined it for her.
That’s why Jill Biden feels betrayed. Let’s be clear about that. Because the Wash Post isn’t going to explain that part to you.
And as far as I’m concerned: these people cannot get off the stage fast enough. My god-just ‘get out’, already. The Bidens and Pelosi. Just...go already.
At least we are done with the Bidens on Monday.
Again today-listeners are asking me: did you watch joe’s farewell speech? Are you going to analyze his speech?
The answer is-no and no.
I have no interest in hearing …all.... of the same old tired lies.... yet again. Hearing the same gaslighting and lying.... seeing the same talking head idiots taking it seriously- on either side of the aisle.
This man has been exposed as a corrupt, evil, bitter, clown. Every move his administration made was a disaster. Every utterance was a lie. Just get out.
That’s how i feel about Joe Biden and any talk of his ‘legacy’.
And of course, I saw snippets of the speech online. But...every lie in that speech and every lie in Monday’s speech on foreign policy- wasn’t even targeted toward ‘convincing the American people’ that he was a good president.
It really wasn’t.
This is all geared toward the handful of long time, elitist, leftist, presidential historians like Doris Kerns Goodwin and Michael Bechloss-who Biden and his team still think they can gaslight and influence.
Last night’s speech was entirely geared toward a handful of gullible dc historians. And that’s it.
Flat out. The Biden regime clearly doesn’t even care if you watched it -or believed it. Their appeal is to the leftists who might write about his presidency and his legacy.
I think, in the end, it will be precious few.
This is a president -who should have- a few hard hitting and truthful tomes written about him, his real character, and his myriad failures.
This is a president who was so corrupt and so incompetent for 50 years in dc-that his story should be told-as a cautionary tale.
Instead, most historians will skip all of that because they are nearly all leftists.
But I also don’t see them being inspired to write the first, the best, or the most comprehensive take on Joe Biden’s presidency, either. Because it was such a forgettable trainwreck.
I’d love to fast forward 20, then 50 years, and see how-if anyone-has written about the joe Biden presidency and what they have said.
We might not even get the little flurry of quickie-‘tell all’-books from the Biden insiders as they flee the ship. We normally get those at the end of every presidency...as disgruntled insiders want to tell the real story.
I’m starting to wonder if we even get those-given how most of those around them have been so protective and accomplice during all this destruction.
But my god- get off the stage. How ironic is it that Joe and his team wanted to -hide- Joe as much as they could for 3-and-a-half years...and now...over the last two months...they keep shoving him at us.
Just bag up his meds....and get out already.
