Alejandro Mayorkas trying to kill off the Laken Riley act

Jay Weber Show transcript 1-14-25

We’ve been following the progress of the Laken Riley act as an early test on how serious lawmakers on both sides of the aisle are about ending illegal immigration and the border chaos.

Democrat lawmakers- so far- appear to have done a significant flip-flop on the question of whether we can at least agree-in this country- to deport illegal criminals. Those illegals who have committed crimes here- from shoplifting on up to murder: Send them home. They have no right to be here.

After the results of the November election and to at least ‘appear’ to have gotten the voters’ message and be more reasonable-

All but nine democrat senators voted to advance the Laken Riley act in the senate- and if even seven of them keep that position following the debate and amendment process- this bill will become law.

Today’s update is what a surprise- the man who intentionally engineered America’s open borders for Joe Biden- is now working to kill off the bill.

Oily lizard Alejandro Mayorkas is on the case for the pro-criminal and pro-illegal groups.

Breitbart reports:

DHS Chief Alejandro Mayorkas Seeks to Kill Laken Riley Act

This is one of the main arguments that has formed on the left for trying to block the Laken Riley bill and the automatic deportation of illegals who commit crimes.

These same democrats and activists who have had us spending hundreds of billions of dollars trying to absorb and deal with the flood of over 3-million new illegals each year- now want to pretend as if they are interested in the ‘costs to America’ that deporting illegals represents.

Any democrat arguing about deportation based on the ‘cost’ of it, needs to be immediately ignored. Mayorkas’s moves over the last four years have cost Americans at all levels of government hundreds of billions of dollars. Their continuing costs will cost us trillions at some point.

This clown should not be able to argue against deportations based on cost.  I’m not exaggerating when i say: Alejandro Mayorkas should be in prison for all of the miseries, deaths, and depredations that his -intentional-actions have brought onto this country.

This man should have-zero-input in any attempt to fix his incredible mess.

Instead, putting this simple rule in place: if you are an illegal who has committed a crime in America-you are sent back home-

Will represent at least a small nugget of common sense being injected into our immigration policy.

And for any bleeding heart or liberal activist who wants to argue...buy. What about the illegal dad who has built a life here and makes a mistake...like killing someone in a DUI accident...or... Losing his mind in a weak moment and shoplifting....do we really want to destroy his life over that?

No. So why did he?

Because ‘we’ wouldn’t be destroying his life like that- he would be. Americans are compassionate people-to the point that our current batch of leaders-on both sides of the aisle- have the rest of the world constantly taking advantage of us and our good nature.

That also must stop. Illegal criminals-go back. They were the ones deciding to engage in crime and need to suffer the consequences.

Anyone of us would have to.

Why have a more compassionate standard for foreigners?

Let’s hope that it was finally that ‘common sense’ that had nearly 40 democrat senators changing their position and voting in favor of the Laken Riley act last Thursday.

And let’s hope that-even after their posturing over amendments and attempts to soften the bill- at least seven of them still have the stones to do what’s right and vote in favor of it-if Chuck Schumer reverts to his old tricks and suddenly pretends there’s a reason democrat lawmakers need to block this.

I could-absolutely-see that coming.

The reason that isn’t very likely is that such an overwhelming number of democrats flip-flopped. Including our own Tammy Baldwin. She normally only does what Chuck Schumer tells her to do.

And so-it’s likely that Chuck Schumer told his democrats to vote in favor of it-initially- to seem reasonable...and now.... if the republicans don’t agree to any changes.... does he try to completely reverse course and bully them all to block it? Most of them are like feckless back benchers like Tammy Baldwin and simply do what they’re told...but at least some of them have already said they are in favor of this.

Rubin Gallego of Arizona is a co-sponsor of the bill? He’d vote against his own bill.

Jon Fetterman is a strong yes. I’m guessing at least five other swing state senators are.

No, i think this passes by a wide margin next week when republicans call the vote- and becomes law. Which is already an important win for the country.

But don’t think that most democrats or their activists are going to ‘roll over’ on the issue of immigration, now. Most of them are still vowing to fight trump’s additional wall and deportation orders.

Did you see this?

In Colorado- their branch of the ACLU is threatening to destroy the lives of any law enforcement leader or officer who cooperates with ice.

This is scummy and dangerous stuff. It’s openly threatening and bullying-and it exposes ‘to what extremes’ a lot of these leftists are willing to go...to take over this country.

This is a blatant attempt to bully Colorado law enforcers into refusing to cooperate with ice—or even hold illegals for deportation.

I find the very threats here, potentially criminal. I think Colorado’s MAGA activists should look at turning around and suing the Colorado ACLU for personally threatening the state’s sheriffs and making them public targets.

I’d sincerely investigate that.

Because we cannot have this become a new ‘routine thing’ on the left: where they openly threaten to target and destroy any law enforcer-or anyone else- who is simply looking to ‘do their job’...or enforce the law that they took an oath to enforce.

These lunatics at the ACLU are actually claiming that the aurora cops did something wrong by cooperating with ICE to get a terrible gang whose members were setting up shop there- using criminal force.

How do you even argue with this level of extremism and overall stupidity?

The cops violated the law, somehow, or overstepped their authorities, somehow? By reacting to a new brand of violent crime that had moved into their community.

The very idea is idiotic....and it’s the sort of reaction that I hope convinces the remaining ‘hold outs’ among voters- on the question of ‘mass deportations’ to crumble.

I hope it’s insane overreactions by the activist left like this that finally convince the remaining 30 percent of voters to say- okay then, deport ‘em all.

If there’s no appeasing these pro-illegal, open borders lunatics- then- go ahead and deport every illegal alien who you come across.

And if I was a pro-illegal activist...I’d be telling the organizers of these groups...hey, we are only ensuring that even more illegals will be targeted for deportation, here-we got to calm down.

Because they will be. They will be encouraging an even larger chunk of Americans to adopt the position: then send them all back.

If you on the pro-immigration side are going to be this militant and insane- then we can find no common ground on who gets to stay- send em all back’.

I tell you- if Trump and Homan push too hard- it will have bleeding heart Americans flopping over to the ‘leave the illegals alone’ sentiment again.

Conversely-if the left-wing activists use this to ratchet their tactics and rhetoric up to extreme new highs- like: even violent gang members need to stay and need to be left alone by the cops-

Then- even more Americans will start to say: just send em all back.
