With all the other things going on these days- (we’ve had no shortage of things to talk about in what is normally a slower period)-I wanted to at least put this on your radar.
Some of you might have seen it, but I’m guessing most didn’t: among the numerous ‘last-minute’ attacks on the country that Joe Biden’s regime is making-via agency and executive order- is a de facto ban on cigarettes. At least unless manufacturers change their formula.
The regulation calls for a lower level of nicotine in each cigarette to be sold or it’s banned. Critics rightly say that this will only lead to a booming black market and even more foreign cartel criminality-and we’ll get to that in a minute-
But this is a perfect example of a group in charge who are such arrogant ninnies- A group that is so certain ‘they know best’ and should be making the decisions for all the rest of us-
That even though they know this is unpopular and Americans will hate it- they are going to do it, anyway, just to ‘get it done’. They didn’t win the election. There won’t be any voter consequences for them doing it.
So…this I a group of ‘Karen’s’ at the Biden FDA insisting…we are going to do what’s best for Americans, even if they were never asked about it and will be angry more of their freedoms are being taken away.
Screw em’. We know best.
The other thing I should say is President Trump and his incoming team will probably understand how stupid and destructive this is and reverse it, but it’s not a ‘given’. Trump doesn’t smoke or drink, and so an attack on cigarettes in the name of making America ‘healthier’ might just be the sort of regulation that he leaves in place.
His position on this isn’t yet clear. But…for days…the DC insiders have been talking about how Biden’s bullying regime really wants to drop the hammer on the tobacco companies.
Why would you make a move that’s this disruptive, just to get a one percent reduction in smokers?
It took about 15 seconds for critics to correctly point out that this will create a raging black market for cigarettes that is likely to benefit foreign cartels.
Again-This is hugely disruptive and leads to using more law enforcement resources to enforce this ridiculous law-All to cut smoking rates that are already low….by one percent more? What a foolish move.
But- when Biden came into office, he promised the ninnies and the Karen’s a ban on menthol flavoring in tobacco products-and four years later-they still don’t have that.
Several times over the course of the last four years, the anti-tobacco Nazis have tried to get Biden and the democrats to keep their word on that, and Biden’s regime has refused.
They have-because-once they started to look at it more closely, they found that it was a screamingly unpopular idea in the urban areas and among black smokers, in particular. But also, lower class Hispanics.
The FDA found that 80 percent of menthol products are used by Blacks and Latinos.
A menthol ban would have been so incredibly infuriating for, quote…urban smokers…. that Biden’s political team wouldn’t let Biden’s FDA do it.
They didn’t want to turn a bunch of angry black and lower-class smokers against the democrat party.
So how’s this for a fun ‘kicker’? Smokers and tobacco users moved significantly toward trump, anyway.

One theory as to why Biden’s regime is pushing this new de facto cigarette ban is that they can say ‘screw the smokers’ now, ‘they didn’t vote for us, anyway.
I find that amusing- but- Why are today’s democrats so focused on ‘taking things away’ from Americans or ‘taming Americans’ instead of ‘listening to Americans’ and ‘helping Americans’?
Why do today’s democrats refuse- refuse- to solve the problems we want solved, and only seem interested in ‘getting collective control of us”?
There is an answer to that question. And it is genuinely because: they are trying to turn us into a socialistic state.
And if you think today’s democrats are ignoring our voter demands now- just wait until they have full control over a socialist country.
If we still have the numbers to vote democrats out of office if they refuse to enforce our borders an clean up the crime on our streets- what do you think happens if they ever get more complete control over the country and its citizens?
They aren’t interested in ‘democracy’ and doing the will of the American people-and they just proceed it for four years.
Every pressing issue and immediate need went ‘unmet’, unaddressed, and ignored- as they pushed their version of ‘socialist progressivism’.
Crime?
We aren’t interested in stopping the criminals, no. But we are interested in harnessing you with global warming fixes.
Lower taxes?
No. We need to raise taxes so that we can build a larger socialistic cage around the American people and made sure everyone is reliant on government for most of their basic needs.
If you think Biden-era democrats weren’t responsive to our needs or interested in helping the American people at-any-level of government…. just wait until they have full control of everything. It’ll be a Marxist hell scape of unmet needs and ignored pleas of desperation.
