Federal Judge overseeing Hunter's tax case is PO'd over pardon

Jay Weber Show transcript 12-5-24

The federal judge overseeing the Hunter Biden tax crimes case in California-blasted- President Biden’s pardon...and the excuse joe used to justify it.

President Biden claimed that his son had been singled out and treated differently than other people-

Especially people who had been in the throes of addiction. The IRS normally showed more mercy to those people, was the basic Biden argument, I guess.

Judge Mark Scarsi said: BS, Hunter had been recovered for years. Had made seven million dollars in that period of time-since-he was told he owed these back-taxes. And he refused to pay them.

This judge-has to-drop the case now that President Biden has issued the pardon-

But Judge Scarsi doesn’t need to ‘quietly’ drop it, especially when his integrity and the integrity of the court is being used as Biden’s excuse.

"The Constitution provides the President with broad authority to grant reprieves and pardons for offenses against the United States, but nowhere does the Constitution give the President the authority to rewrite history"

"Rather than providing a true and correct copy of the pardon with the notice, Mr. Biden provided a hyperlink to a White House press release presenting a statement by the President regarding the pardon and the purported text of the pardon"

"In short, a press release is not a pardon"

I love that the judge is setting the record straight and not allowing Joe Biden or his team to rewrite the history on this-

Because- in this instance- history does matter.

Fifty years from now- it isn’t going to matter if you or I made excuses for our bad behavior and took them to the grave. No historians will be looking back to examine our time here on earth, or the roles we played while we were here.

But there will be numerous historians, presumably, writing about the Biden presidency, and it’s important that they be able to find in the written record-the truth of Hunter’s outrageous pardon.

This judge has now- for posterity- exposed joe Biden as an excuse-making liar of a president who simply wanted to protect his son from -ever- suffering any of the consequences of his crimes.

Those historians are also likely to note that Joe Biden intentionally expanded the scope of this pardon to be a blanket pardon for -all crimes-known and unknown to us- for more than a decade.   Who go ‘that big’?

So that the pardon also acts as cover for Joe Biden, himself, and his family’s decade of influence peddling and criminality. That’s why.

I agree with Andrew McCarthy when he says- we could see more pardons out of Joe Biden- for his brother and some of hunter’s other ‘business associates’.... just to keep a lid on all of this.

One question that has popped up is: why did Biden issue this pardon so early. The controversial pardons are normally issued in January, just before a president leaves.

The white house- which is filled with liars- claims that Biden did it early because he and jill were so worried....so...preoccupied...with the two sentencings that hunter would have to go thru...that they ultimately decided to just get it over with. And pre-empt the sentencing.

So-the Biden explanation is for our own peace of mind-and hunters- we just didn’t wait on the pardon.

A different theory is that he pardoned Hunter-first- and is setting up a series of pardons for others who took part in the Biden family corruption schemes over the years.

This is Andrew McCarthy’s prediction at the national review.  He says-

The president could try to head off a new investigation of influence-peddling by granting participants the same sort of expansive pardon he gave Hunter.

The other thing is-he’s 83 and a former president and there’s going to be a strong sense among the DC insider crowd-even among longtime republican insiders- that ‘we don’t do that to

Ex-presidents. Just let the man die in peace’.

So no, I don’t see trump or republicans going after Joe Biden directly. But I could see James Comer and Byron Donalds and other house investigators saying: let’s call hunter to the hill and force him to admit to Biden’s incredible corruption- for posterity’s sake.

Yeah. I could see them doing that at some point.

And if business slows down in the second half of Trump’s term and they have nothing else, really, to do: they should.

Because-even if it’s just getting to the truth and exposing it to posterity-it’s important.

Especially when the ‘book’ on Joe Biden is going to be completely rewritten in Washington now, based on his disastrous presidency and the arrogance and ignorance that came along with it.

I tell you: if the story of ‘Joe Biden the senator’ was an affable boob who corrupted the judiciary committee and the presidential appointment process-forever- by trying to destroy Robert Bork and Clarence Thomas...

And if the story of ‘Vice President Biden’ among the DC insiders was going to be Biden was sort of a dope but he’s what Obama needed on the ticket and so, he served his purpose.

Now the story of Joe Biden is going to be the worst president ever. Destroyed the country and arrogantly refused to admit he was doing it- as he did it.

He thought of the American people as trash ...who he and his team of myopic elitists didn’t even need to concern themselves with.

No need to explain yourself after a disastrous Afghanistan withdrawal: just insist to these idiots that it went great.

No need to explain how and why you touched off 9 percent-runaway inflation. Who cares if these idiots are paying higher prices.

And no- no need to try to at least fix your mistakes. Nope.   We don’t know the American people an explanation- nor do we owe them an attempt to fix it.

And our America-hating fringe groups want open borders?  Fine. Do it. Eff the American people and America’s institutions. They’ll just have to shut up and take it.

That’s how Joe Biden is going to be remembered, now. And those post-mortems are already being put into print for future historians to find.
