Early voting starts today and it's important to bank your vote now

Today is the day that early ‘in-person’ voting begins in Wisconsin...and if i remember to do so...I’m going to do it right after the show.

My township-Erin- seems to have expanded early voting hours this time around-as do most Washington county municipalities- according to GOP organizers in that area.

And i say this as someone who normally votes on election day: if this election is so important that Donald Trump, the RNC, and state republicans insist they need us to vote early this year- to ensure your vote is cast- well then, I’m going to do it.

I understand how-if we ‘early vote’- not only is the vote already banked in case there’s bad weather or some other reason that we can’t make it on election day-

But it also benefits the party and allows them to use their time, money, and energy to target more of the low-propensity sorts of voters that we are going to need for Donald Trump to win Wisconsin this year.

I know that most of the news related to Trump and Hovde has been positive of late-but -it’s also true that any GOP ‘win’ here in Wisconsin is going to rely more heavily on a group of voters who don’t always turn out for every election-and we need to work to see that they do. That we can get as many to vote as possible.

And so, it does help, if you are ‘banked’ and ‘in’ for them.

‘In person’ voting starts today. I know some of you have already voted by mail- which is also something Trump and republicans have been encouraging this year-

And it appears to be paying off.

In past years- mail-in voting allowed democrats to run up such huge early advantages that by the time election day rolled around- it was difficult to get enough republican voters out on a single day to make up the margins.

This is one of the games we have been playing in Wisconsin for years.

We don’t insist voters register by party ahead if time here-but the party’s analytics allow them to make a good guess on how many democrats versus republican votes are in-and for numerous elections now- top republicans have told me-approaching election day: democrats swamped us in early voting again-to the point that we probably can’t make up for it on election day.

That was becoming the ‘standard’ here, as mostly ‘only democrats’ took advantage mail-in or early voting.

And you don’t have to like that fact-or like this way of having a ‘voting window’...or ‘a month of voting’ rather than an ‘election day’. God knows, i hate it.

But- these are the rules the democrats have rammed into place-and bastardized for their own benefit-over the years-and until and unless we can change them-it’s the field we need to play in. And early-in person voting is one way to do it.

And already- with mail-in voting having been underway for a few weeks now- the numbers are already looking better for republicans. 

Mark Penn is a long-time pollster and advisor to the Clintons...and says today:

Donald Trump Has the Edge for Now, Voters think he did a better job on the economy and foreign policy.

I agree with that-and it’s my one worry even though the polls are trending Trump’s way.

Then there’s the referendum question on our WI ballot. It’s asking voters for a tweak to the language of our state constitution that makes it clear ‘only’ citizens can vote in Wisconsin elections- not- non-citizens and illegals.

This change is necessary because-as state senator Julian Bradley explained it on-air yesterday-democrats in blue states are pretending to find ‘air’ or ‘a loophole’ in the current language in our constitutions.

And I want to replay just a bit of that interview yesterday, with Julian, to make a further point:

So-

To this matter of today’s democrats insisting that this change ‘isn’t needed’...right before they turn around and try to pull a fast one....and so yes, today’s republicans need to anticipate their next ‘cheat’ and move to block it first-

I bring you a story out of New York-where the top democrats have been trying to normalize illegal voting. For years- NY’s far-left democrats have been trying to pass laws and change rules that will allow illegals to vote.

They are doing so because they believe that-once illegals on the govt dole can vote-they are democrat voters forever-and the democrats will never lose grip on their control in that state.

But alas-so far, the NY Dem’s efforts to pass a law that lets illegals vote- has been blocked.

So- as today’s rabid leftists do- let’s just try a different way.   

So, NY voters get -on this fall’s ballot- proposition one- which is an effort secretly organized by powerful left-wing activists- and put on the ballot- to try to trick NY voters into creating a loophole for illegal aliens to vote. 

From the NY Post:

New York Democrats have failed to legalize noncitizen voting, but may get their way by passing Proposition 1 on the Nov. 5 ballot.

The deceptively written “Equal Rights Amendment” doesn’t protect women or abortion rights — but does empower lawmakers to ignore the current language of the state Constitution in the name of protecting a whole host of new rights that it would create.

Let’s be clear: Abortion rights are not under threat in New York.

Citizenship and voting rights, however, are under attack.

This. Is how today’s left operating. They aren’t interested in doing anything ‘above board’ or ‘honestly’.  At least so long as they cannot get their way.

We used to have decent democrat leaders in this country who-really did- honor the limits of the law, the courts, and the constitution- but we don’t anymore.

And we don’t anymore because ‘old school’ democrats loved this country and wanted to preserve it and its traditions right along with us republicans... But over time...a shift has occurred that allowed the most extreme elements of their party to take control of it.

These are not America-lovers. They are America-haters. They hate capitalism. They hate what this country and its traditions stand for. And they-hate- freedom- and want to run every aspect of your lives.

And so-we get this. Destructive and hidden propositions meant to trick voters into giving away their rights and freedoms...

In this instance...in the name of ‘diversity’ and ‘social justice’.

So-could Wisconsin democrats insist that we don’t need to vote ‘yes’ on this amendment November fifth-because they have no intention of allowing illegals to vote in Wisconsin-only to turn around and propose it the minute they have a chance to change the law?

You bet they could do that- and are very likely to.

Having illegals vote to rig a permanent majority for themselves is not a new idea for democrat operatives like Ben Wickler here in Wisconsin or anywhere else across the country where the leftists think they can do it.  And they’ll do so-at the first opportunity they get.

And so-yes- dammit-

Vote ‘yes’ on that referendum question on that ballot to ensure illegal aliens are not allowed to vote in future elections here. 

‘yes’ is the right vote on that question-if there’s any confusion. And don’t let slippery con artists like Ben Wickler or Chris Larson fool you.

This-is! -a necessary change to the state constitution and it-is! -important-

And they are lying to you if they say otherwise or try to talk you out of voting ‘yes’.
