It’s interesting how Kamala Harris’s campaign is angling for another debate-if they really think she’s winning.
I don’t believe they do.
I know we have entered that time- just 40-some days before election day- and with early voting underway-
We have entered that window in which the accomplice media’s pollsters start to juice and tweak their findings to show that the democrat is winning.
It’s part of this long-standing game they play, given that they know people naturally want to be part of the ‘winning team’...and so.... if there are still 5 to 8 percent of people undecided...the attempt is to trick them into thinking they can be part of the ‘win’.
We are entering into that window in which the last month or so of polling is juiced. It’s one reason that I believe Donald Trump is still leading in most or all the swing states.
And here’s an indication of the Harris campaign believing they are still lagging- or at least- still need to close the deal.
This is a campaign team that turned down an initial offer by Donald Trump of three debates. He suggested three after she was coronated.
Her team immediately said ‘no’, and insisted that if trump wanted to debate, he had to accept the terms of a debate on ABC that the Biden campaign had agreed to.
Trump said, i don’t know why, but okay. He grudgingly agreed to that ABC debate, which turned out to be a bad night for him and a good night for her-
At least to the extent that it provided a little bit of a polling lift for her. Not much. But a point or two.
I told you going in: Donald Trump is not a good debater. He’s never been a good debater. And he proved it-even though we now know that ABC and the Harris campaign had colluded ahead of time to go easy on her....and ‘fact check’ trump at every turn.
But- Harris and the left got ‘their debate’ on their terms...and consider what has happened: folks, her performance in that debate is the only thing that has managed to move her poll numbers- at all.
She got the rigged coronation boost after they shoved joe down the stairwell...
But she didn’t really get a boost coming out of the convention- in part-because RFK Jr dropping out and endorsing trump immediately took the focus away-
Then-as liberal data cruncher Nate Silver admits-
Then-since the convention-Harris’ poll numbers have been in an ‘even’...to slightly sliding...holding pattern.
She’s done three events since the debate...and her infuriating word salads have harmed her all three times.
Last week, we talked about how the undecideds in the focus groups are saying, ‘okay, now she’s just insulting our intelligence’...
So- the cushy, carefully selected sit-down interviews aren’t working.
As someone put it: even Oprah’s ‘stardust’ couldn’t help her.
Consider that- the one thing- that moved Kamala Harris’ numbers in a positive way was the debate.
So, of course she and her team want another one.
And they were trying to goad trump into doing a second debate- on CNN- in late October.
Now- it concerns me that Donald Trump is so easily goaded into such things, but he’d be a dope to do another debate. The last one didn’t serve him well. He’s sitting in a stronger position as we enter October than he was ever in in 2016 and 2020.These debates do not benefit him.
Moreover-you’d be giving the Kamala Harris campaign the lifeline they are looking for.
Why? Would you do that?
Let her wallow in her own crapulent word salads.
She chose this path. Trump offered three debates. She turned them down. Then he offered two debates-including one on fox. She turned them down.
Stop doing debates that allow the leftists to call the shots and set the stage- and only make you desperate by not rejecting them.
Trump told a rally over the weekend: a debate on October 23rd would be useless. A lot of the voting will be over.
Trump has already debated twice: first he debated dementia joe...and then a highly scripted kamala. Both were simply ‘headaches’ to watch for the rest of us. We don’t need a third.
Harris’ team only wants one now because she’s losing...and they know it. Moreover, if by some miracle, she’s clearly winning the early vote and the polls when October 23rd rolls around, do you really think her team would let her go ahead with that debate?
Not a chance. They turned down three because they were certain she’d embarrass herself. She managed to bluff and memorize her way thru one.
It- will-be interesting to see if those two Rasmussen pollsters who said Kamala’s numbers are going to start to slide again this week- get it right. This was their guess last Thursday, based on the new data they were collecting for this week’s polls.
We’ll see if other polling outfits find the same thing. I’ll come back to the fact that-even with all the incredible effort the democrats, the Harris campaign, and the herculean effort by their accomplices in the news media to make Kamala viable...
This is still a tied race- if you believe the polls are accurate. I don’t.
Nor does pollster Matt Towrey, who was on Fox on Friday saying this.

I’m with Towrey: if there’s a four- or five-point head here, for either of these two-it’d be for Trump...and it’s not being measured.
