The second attempt to assassinate Trump was thwarted on Sunday afternoon-correct?
On Monday- I predicted that this would be a ‘two-day story’ for the left-wing accomplice media, and they would be ‘past it’ by Wednesday.
Well-that was ‘basically’ the case.
I say ‘basically’ because even I- as good as i am at this-and as good as i am at nailing predictions-
Even I did not expect that those mainstream media outlets would quickly pivot to ‘it’s trump’s own fault that people are trying to kill him’ and then make that ‘the story’ for two days.
And so- here it is Thursday. Any mention of the shooter, his strong democrat affiliations and donations, the harm that Donald Trump was in-etc.-
Any mention of that -is done. But we’re still seeing a few ‘hold over’ stories about how ‘Trump deserves this’...or how ‘he brought it on himself.’
Again-I didn’t see it coming. I never thought our so-called ‘news media’ members in this country would ever get to a point at which they were-not-appalled at an attempt to kill a president or government official.
I suppose i never factored in just how heartless and vile the members of the so-called news media would become-even after they gave up any real pretense of being unbiased years ago.
As a former journalist and news director myself-
Heck-
As someone who has taught journalism at the high school and university levels-
I keep talking about ‘new lows’ that today’s so-called journalistic community keeps hitting- rather than just write them off ‘fully’....as a lost cause.
I suppose we can do that, now.
Because-
After the last few days of watching all sorts of reporters, anchors, editors, and ‘experts’ develop a strong ‘trump deserves to be dead’ narrative as a way to spin this second attempt on his life and counter-act any negative fallout for the democrat candidates-
I simply don’t know how our so-called ‘legacy news media’ ever redeems itself.
As one analyst pointed out yesterday: the New York times has devotedly followed a cardinal rule of liberalism-for decades- that says ‘never blame the victim’...
As in... always blame racism or classism. An example would be: if unwed mothers are poor and struggling-blame the heartless welfare system- not the decision to have a child out of wedlock...
Another example that we are seeing across the country now: if a punk or a thug commits a violent crime-don’t blame them. They are a victim of society. Blame racism and a racist criminal justice system.
It's not just a ‘standard’ for the NY Times over the last few decades-it’s a standard for nearly everyone in these legacy media newsrooms.
But-when it comes to Donald trump being the target of murderers-twice-it’s clearly his fault. In this instance-in the left-wing media- victim blaming is fine. Even ‘right’ and justified.
We’ve had myriad examples and explanations of how ‘trump brought this on himself’ over the last few days
And these ‘takes’ are from people who are supposed to be doing ‘news’. Not commentary.
This is the take-away from a second attempt on Trump’s life...from the so-called ‘straight news’ outlets...and anchors. When it comes to the CNN and MSNBC panels we’ve seen on cable-and the takes we’ve heard on liberal podcasts- the accusations are even more direct: trump deserves this. Trump caused this.
Heck- Hillary Clinton -the day after the second attempt- said that trump is a danger to this country and criticized media outlets for not doing enough! To make that clear.
She rapped the accomplice media members for not having created a constant narrative on how dangerous trump is to the country.
Her direct words.
At least after the shooting in butler, pa- these trump haters with the darkest hearts spent a few days pretending they were happy he was alive...and decrying political violence.
This second time around-they went right to ‘he deserves it’.
Wow. If you don’t think this country is lost-politically, morally, and ethically- you haven’t been paying attention.
We are deep, deep trouble, people. Especially if Kamala Harris wins and all of the last 8 years of nastiness- prosecution- rioting and looting suggest that today’s leftists -are- on the right path to get what they want: complete control of this country-and over us.
This country has legitimately hit the point that if Kamala Harris wins this now and democrats get control of the congress-even by just a few seats- this country is royally screwed.
If the dems can say: vilifying and ruining Trump any way, we could. Bullying the people and burning down communities- worked. It’s an important part of our path forward as a party?
Man- are we royally screwed as a country.
The reaction from the leftists pretending to be journalists over the last few days- egged on by elected democrat officials- should be appealing to everyone. Even those on the left side of the aisle and the people who hate Trump.
Yet-as Megan Kelly said: because we’re so close to the election, these actors on the left aren’t even going to pretend they care about Donald Trump-or- the assassination attempt. And they’re certainly not going to tone down their incendiary rhetoric- that’s why they think they are winning!
Megan Kelly’s right: we’ve talked for weeks now about how the Harris campaigns’ entire strategy is: trash Trump. Invent new lies. Repeat the old ones. Disqualify and-stop him-any way they can.... because Kamala Harris doesn’t have an agenda...and she’s not fit to do this job...and they know it.
She can’t even campaign competently on her own behalf! How are they going to win this thing if they don’t lie and cheat and try to take trump off the board- any-way-they-can?
Megan Kelly made those comments during an interview with Piers Morgan...and he said he’s shocked Donald Trump is still in this race.
He said- imagine the courage and the fortitude that it would take to keep going here:
They are doing it- because they have 8 years of democrats sending out dog whistles to have someone ‘do it’. Especially over the last three years, after Donald Trump confirmed he planned to run for a second term.
This ‘anything to stop Trump’ rhetoric has hit overt and relentless new levels since.
As i say: every time Nancy Pelosi does an interview, she’s saying: trump will not be the president again. He cannot be the president. It will not happen.
The day after the assassination attempt- Hillary Clinton is on MSNBC and says more than once in the same interview: trump must be stopped. I don’t understand why the media won’t relentlessly detail how dangerous he is.
Folks, these aren’t ‘dog whistles. These are practically pleas for someone to take trump out. And they’ve been talking this way for three years straight-in their left-wing echo-chambers.
