So much attention has been focused on Joe Biden-and Donald Trump has been doing such a good job of sitting back and watching the democrat’s presidential ticket implode on its own-
That most Americans missed the news that the republican national committee officially endorsed the Trump campaign platform-as the party platform- earlier this week.
Normally, something like this would be ‘ceremonial’ and not terribly noteworthy. Okay. Big whoop.
However- this year-after the disastrous three years of Joe Biden and the democrats forcing their unpopular ideas onto the American people-
The Trump/GOP platform is more important than ever-for the American people to hear.
This platform that was approved is-very good. It’s straight forward, and brief, and includes twenty bullet points that outline the second term Trump agenda and where the republican party would like to take this country- if they win.
Well-given how much grumbling has been going on about how neither Trump nor Biden ever talk about ‘the future’. How they never talk about the ‘agenda’ that they have or how they plan to help the country over the next four years-
It's worth highlighting.
As former Trump economic advisor Larry Kudlow puts it:
LARRY KUDLOW: Trump's agenda is 'pro-growth'
This is a great platform and it makes promises and sets goals related to the topics that have proven to be popular on the campaign trail and in conservative media.
The American people are fed up. Disgusted. With both the Biden policies and the bullying, woke left that has taken over the democrat party-
And so- promoting this Trump/GOP platform between now and November would be a smart move.
I won’t read all twenty goals that the RNC platform outlines, but it’s an agenda that polls for three years have been telling us the vast majority of the American people support.
It should be easy for trump and republicans to run on that agenda.
And I know there’s controversy over how trump got the RNC to exclude a strong statement against abortion-
But this is trump trying to turn down the heat and the attention on that issue- because it’s strategically smart if republicans want to win races in fall-
And- as I’ve said before to ‘single issue’ and ‘pro-life’ voters who get angry over such things-
We can only ban abortion and/or pass pro-life laws-if we win elections.
Republicans need to be smart about-how-we win elections-by appealing to the largest group of voters-
And then once you’re in office and hold the majorities-then- you can pass those pro-life laws and abortion bans- because there’s no one standing in your way to stop you.
But until or unless you win elections and hold power- nothing can or will be done about your pet issue. Whether it’s abortion, gun rights, or transgender surgeries on kids, or whatever.
Trump and the GOP are right to downplay abortion and focus on the myriad other-really ugly-ways that Joe Biden and the democrats have been destroying America.
America was under Donald Trump: safe, strong, and quiet around the globe.
A few years removed from all the hype and anger and ginned up angst and smear jobs against trump- while he was president-
We now have slightly more than half of the country admitting trump was a good president. They viewhis presidency favorably.
They-do not- view joe Biden’s presidency favorably.
And so- Republicans giving speeches at next week’s convention and every candidate between now and November-has the job of reminding voters how much better life in America was-under Donald Trump- as compared to Joe Biden
This-is- one reason that so many black voters-and black men in particular- say they are sliding over to vote for Trump in fall.
They finally experienced some prosperity under President Trump. And now their fortunes are right back ‘down in the dumper’ with Joe Biden.
Its’ not just black voters who the polls show Biden is losing. It’s also lots of young voters, Hispanic voters, a sliver of women.
Americans of all sorts know that this nation is in serious decline- due to Biden and far left policies.
They’ve experienced it-first hand-right along with the rest of us-
And some of them- like poor minorities and young people-have felt it more acutely than the rest of us.
And this fall? As RNC chairman Michael Whatley says: only Donald Trump can restore our economy, our southern border, and America’s standing in the world.
We know Joe Biden won’t. He’s the one who created all this misery.
This years’ RNC platform-really is- a roadmap back to prosperity-
And so, let’s hope that all voters see it-and it helps every voter ‘see’ what a stark and obvious choice they have in fall...
As dems try to scare and divide them and feed them nonsense about ‘destroying democracy’.
It’s been Biden and the dems who have started down a path that destroys democracy-
And most voters now see that.
