I have a stack of mostly positive stories about how we are fighting back against the bullying woke agenda and the left’s jihad against science, medicine, and common sense...
But I’m going to start with the bad news: the American red cross has now caved-completely- to the wokeism-
And before men can donate blood at the Red Cross... Anymore...they first must answer the question: are you pregnant or have you ever been pregnant?
No kidding.
This is new- and it is the Red Cross claiming that they are just being ‘inclusive’. But I’ll explain why it’s not-in a minute-
And why they are, instead, choosing to be overtly political. The story goes:
Men must answer the question, “Are you pregnant?” before donating blood with the American Red Cross, which provides almost 40 percent of U.S. blood components. Gender-neutral blood donor eligibility is designed to create an “inclusive” blood donation process, the Red Cross says on its website.
Before donating blood, patients are asked to fill out “Rapid Pass,” an online survey that asks donors for initial information, including name, age, and gender. Donors must provide answers to all questions.
But-one take: I -do believe-that-as small as this change is in their pre-donation survey, that it-will- lead to the loss of some donations.
I’m not claiming the Red Cross is setting itself up for a major crisis here-but i am claiming that-some fraction of people. Are going to get to that question on the survey. And say ‘that’s ridiculous. I guess the red cross caved to the left, too. I refuse to donate’.
It is stupid for Red Cross officials to cave to this leftist nonsense.
Especially when they could have been just as inclusive if they simply added another question that said: if you are transgender- are you pregnant or have you ever been pregnant?
Get it?
By linking that question to the question about the male gender-they are proving that they are really just engaging in cheap left-wing politics here, rather than being inclusive.
How about-rather than asking ‘males’ if they are pregnant- just adding a different question that says- if you are transgender- are you pregnant?
That takes away the political nature of the follow up question-and-
And- it makes more sense on a medical form. We need to be interested in science and accuracy in our clinics/hospitals/donation centers-etc. And not pollute them in service to wokeism.
It’s a medical form. It’s perfectly fine to ask: if you are transgender-are you pregnant? Ever been?
Well- why wouldn’t you just pretend I’m a man? Why single-out transgenders?
Because it’s a medical form...and aside from the little head games you want to play with yourself...we need to know if you are a biological male or female here-and what we are dealing with. That’s why.
This is science. Medicine. We need to have facts. Information. Not political spin.
I want to be considered a man. I demand you categorize me as a man.
Fine, but in the science and medical fields we don’t have the time or the room to honor your head games: where you born a male or a female. It’s that simple. If you are a transgender man-were your ‘female parts’ ever pregnant? That’s what we need to know. So, knock off the games and stop being a cry bully.
Folks-regardless of how politics and culture are taking this gender stuff.... we need to ensure that science and medicine are still dealing with the cold, hard reality. The scientific truth: you were born a girl-you have a uterus-sir- have you ever been pregnant?
And that doesn’t mean -to be delicate and accommodating to a tiny fraction of one percent of us...we need to ask every single man if he’s ever been pregnant.
It means- we need to add a separate question: if you are transgender-have you ever been pregnant?
This is the game that the red cross is playing. They haven’t created an ‘inclusive’ blood donation process. They’ve decided to play political games...or honor the political definition of ‘inclusive’.
a genuine...’inclusive’ process...includes the specific question for transgenders.
It doesn’t pretend men can be pregnant.
And I think -less-of the American Red Cross today than i did yesterday- over this nonsense.
Their team-no doubt- felt like they vetted this from all sides-
But it never dawned on them that they were not going to ask every single man if he’s ever been pregnant- and offend 100-million donors with that question...just so they can virtue signal...
Instead of just adding a different question, specific to transgenders.
What a farce.
