So... the Democrats and their accomplices in the media disgraced themselves again last week as they completely downplayed and ignored President Biden’s serious fall at the Air Force commencement.
And contrary to the time in which Trump just...took small steps on a slippery ramp and they focused on it for days as some sign of his age and inability to do the job-
This time- the entire incident was white-washed.
It’s already forgotten...with this dishonest media.
However- as is normally the case: even as the dems and their operatives are downplaying something publicly, they are as concerned about it as the rest of us: maybe more so.
Folks, Biden’s tumble on stage has the democrats more serious about having a backup plan for 2024, in case Biden becomes incapacitated and/or decides that he can no longer do this, after all.
Until now, they’ve had this
Biden-or-bust mindset for the 2024 that they were okay with, but that fall, and the fact that the number of Americans who say Biden is too old to be present and should not run again creeps up to 70 percent.... they’re starting to plan more seriously for eventualities.
And remember-the actual general election campaign doesn’t start until roughly next year at this time, and so there’s still plenty of time for an alternative to be found-even if other presidential hopefuls on their side need to scramble around and organize and run a truncated primary.
In fact, the belief is that -California governor Gavin Newsome and Illinois governor JB Pritzker, at the very least, both have operations in a ‘holding pattern’ just in case.
Democrat leaders have been rallying behind Biden in a very unconvincing public show of force, and acting as if they don’t have concerns about his age ...and so there’s need for a backup plan..
But that’s transparently nonsense. They’re just hoping to keep the party unified and keep all the primary drama on the GOP side of the aisle.
Party insiders say activists are fretting about Mr. Biden‘s age, and say other democrats are certainly waiting in the wings and checking out their options, albeit under the radar and in the discreet of fashions.
Democrats see the polls that show most of their voters would rather see Mr. Biden sit this race out, citing his age as their chief concern.
The simple fact is- yes- Biden could easily be sidelined by injury or illness or even death.... amid the 2024 campaign. And that’s if he runs any sort of campaign, at all.
I don’t expect Joe to. We will, instead, see a 2024 version of ‘hiding in the basement’, which is how he managed to get elected the first time.
He’ll be doing zoom interviews from that fake oval office in the basement of the white house as Jill and Kammy and mayor Pete and any other surrogate that they can find will travel the country and do in-person events.
For heaven’s sake-people- we’ve talked about how the president’s schedule is planned out to only have him doing events and having meetings somewhere between 9 in the morning and four in the afternoon.
He and Jill have to spend every weekend in Delaware just to ‘recharge’ this man’s very old batteries. He is not going to be out there doing what the rest of them are doing: three, four, five stops a day- day after day- relentlessly for months.
And no, I’m not suggesting that Biden needs to be out there doing it now. It’s way too early. The dems don’t have a real primary-the republicans do.
Biden doesn’t need to start campaigning for a second term-in person- as in- ‘doing campaign events’ – for at least another year.
I’m saying- a younger candidate would start earlier-and even when it rolls around to convention time next year. Even then, we won’t see Biden out campaigning.
He’ll do one or two events a week-sprinkled out- as his wife and his minions crisscross the country as surrogates.
And if these stumbles and falls in public get worse?
Folks-then age becomes-thee-major issue in next year’s campaign. Which is yet another reason that the democrats want to take on a 77-year-old Donald Trump instead of a someone like Ron DeSantis or Nikki Haley-who are in their mid-40s.
If republicans select a younger nominee and make the 2024 election about ‘competence’ and ‘the future’ and about how an ‘aging and out of it’ president cannot lead us there- it’ll be difficult for Biden to win. And the democrat operatives know it.
Some of you will remember when bob dole ran for president. He was only 73, and the left relentlessly insisted he was too old to be president. The question of his age hung over his entire campaign...
And them. At one event...we went to lean on a railing that was at the front of the stage. It wasn’t bolted down. It was just decorative, and he took a major tumble off the stage.
Remember?
From that moment on- Dole’s campaign was ‘over’. That fall had ‘proven’ to the American people and the MSM that he was too old to be doing this.
Well- Biden is 80...and will be 82 before he’s sworn in for a second term. He is too old to do this job.
Biden’s team and the dems insist that having Biden run for a second term is the best way to keep trump out of the white house again- but- truth be told--just having Biden on the ticket makes it more likely that trump could get a second term.
After all-
If joe’s got to drop out during the general election and it’s a mad scramble on that side of the aisle to find a replacement- a Biden pratfall could literally lead to a second trump term.
The media can try to downplay these facts and these ‘truths’ all they want, but the American people see it.
You couldn’t go-anywhere-on social media last week and not see that video of Biden falling posted in every other post. It was everywhere, even as the MSM outlets-
The traditional media gatekeepers- tried to minimize and downplay it-and tried to make sure that video had disappeared within a few hours.
It was a disgrace ...what sort of bias they showed.
Someone looked back and pulled the headlines from 2020, when president trump was on a slick, steep ramp and simply...took some care...in walking down it. He took some baby steps, and the media went nuts.
As I suggested on Friday: we got no follow ups. There were no inquisitive reporter questions about whether Biden was checked out by white house physicians afterward. Did they do x-rays or MRIs to see if anything was broken?
Was he spirited over to Walter Reed hospital?
I saw-zero follow up-on any of those questions.
We have no news media, anymore.
Finally-there’s the question related to what sort of weakness this telegraphs to our global enemies and allies-
And it does- telegraph weakness.
You can bet that China, Iran, and any other eastern enemy of ours is using that video and is using Biden’s age as proof of western decline...and these aging, failing, capitalist countries...
Biden, his age, and his overall incompetence are absolutely a detriment -a major liability- to this country and it’s high-time the American news media and the American voters got serious about it.
This is the guy in charge of the nuclear football-and who is making decisions related to an escalating Ukrainian war and an ever-more belligerent China.
This bumbler makes the final call.
It is true that ‘with age, comes wisdom’.
It is also absolutely true that ‘with extreme old age, comes mental and physical decline’...and Joe Biden is showing all sorts of signs of it.
It’s on display for all voters and other world leaders to see.
We-cannot-have this man continue to lead this country for another five years, or until he dies in his sleep.
