I guess you do Go Broke when You Go Woke

Jay Weber Show transcript

Did you see this?

Target’s execs held an emergency meeting on over the store’s decision to sell pro-LGBT merchandise during pride month-and the backlash to it.

So far, its’ been a smaller backlash than the one seen against Bud light- but it’s growing-and at least some regional target execs are nervous. Fox reported

Target holds 'emergency' meeting over LGBTQ merchandise in some stores to avoid ‘Bud Light situation’

WE’VE TALKED ABOUT HOW TARGET’S CEOs AND BOARD MEMBERS HAVE BEEN AMONG THE COMPANY LEADERS WHO HAVE LEPT TO ACCOMMODATE EVERY LEFT-WING WHIM AND WOKE NEW POSITION...And so.... They must be taking some real heat in states away from the ‘woke coasts.   And I hope the backlash does grow, because it’s the only way companies are going to relent on this wokeism: if their bottom lines are negatively affected by it.

Meanwhile-the Bud Light boycott is going on longer than I expected it too, quite frankly, and I also find this encouraging.

For a sixth week in a row, bud light sales were down last week. They are not recovering. Retailers report that Bud Light are sitting on the shelves. Piling up in their backrooms-and it’s gotten to the point that INBEV is starting to take back returns: Bud Light that is past it’s ‘sell by’ date.

Good.

I really expected that the lure of cheap beer would ultimately override people’s initial outrage at the Dylan Mulvaney campaign.... But...People are still boycotting.

Good.

Look-the pushback against the bullying woke agenda...And with the other side insisting on ‘trans-rights’ this has become a cultural flash point and a wedge issue...And Bud and Target and every company that mindlessly bows to ‘pride month’ every June is now caught up in it.

And instead of trying to ‘navigate’ it and keep everyone happy- as Bud and Target execs are trying to do- how about agreeing that politics don’t belong in our business transactions and going back to telling political activists on both sides to pound sand.

WE HAVE ONLY ARRIVED AT THIS POINT BECAUSE-OVER THE YEARS- DEMOCRATS AND THEIR ACTIVIST BULLIES HAVE INSISTED ON POLITICIZING EVERYTHING-AND FAR, FAR TOO MANY CORPORATE BOARDS AND CEOs EITHER WILLINGLY JOINED, OR CAVED INTO, THEIR ACTIVISM.

Way, way too many companies thought they could make a quick buck by virtue signaling on ‘green’ products at the height of the global warming debates-right? Some of them still try to?

How does marketing ‘tuckable’ swim wear any different? The makers and sellers of swimwear suddenly had a new way that they thought could appeal to customers. And took it.

Don’t want your dingle to show? You can tuck it in our new swimwear, and then walk around with it smashed between your legs...

Check out our new ‘bent banana’ line...We think you’ll like it.

How is that any different than ‘cheer is now a green laundry detergent’?
