Good-credit homebuyers will begin to subsidize high-risk mortgages

Jay Weber Show transcript 4-20-23 7:10am

I admit, I have no idea how a president has the authority to do this next thing that Joe Biden’s regime is doing: forcing people with good credit to pay more on their home loans...to subsidize high-risk home loans.

I admit that- I have no idea where the Biden regime ‘gets off’ thinking that they have this sort of authority-on their own-to pick winners and losers and pit Americans against Americans like this....and I hope there is a legal challenge to this.

This is also another instance in which-just-out of the blue- a major new ‘screw job’ is dropped into the American people without notice.

In fact, most of the harmful new regulations that Biden’s agencies are putting in place aren’t being properly advertised or vetted-and most Americans won’t even know about them-until they are hit with them.

But this group of Marxist Nazis have now decided that responsible people with good credit scores...should pay more for mortgages as a way to allow private banks around the country to take on the riskier mortgages of deadbeats, or people trying to buy a home that is beyond their means.

The Washington Times.......

The fee changes will go into effect May 1 as part of the Federal Housing Finance Agency’s push for affordable housing, and they will affect mortgages originating at private banks across the country. The federally backed home mortgage companies Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac will enact the loan-level price adjustments, or LLPAs.

Mortgage industry specialists say homebuyers with credit scores of 680 or higher will pay, for example, about $40 per month more on a home loan of $400,000. Homebuyers who make down payments of 15% to 20% will get socked with the largest fees.

Folks...40 dollars a month more might not sound like all that much. But that’s nearly 500 dollars more per year than these people would otherwise have to pay-and over the course of a 30-year loan- it adds up to over 14-thousand dollars more- that you’re paying for the house!

That’s crazy.

I should pay that-or my nieces and nephews should pay that-just because they have good credit scores. Or want to put more down on the house?

This is yet another thing that is- completely un-American. It’s another thing that doesn’t even approach ‘fair’ unless you are twisting the definition of fairness to suit your own socialist purposes.

And I want an explanation of how the executive branch, Freddie and Fannie, can just do this on their own. Mistreat one group of Americans-to help another group of Americans-without congress even approving it.

Folks-this sort of policy- absolutely-at the very least-needs to be approved by congress. The people who we sent from our communities to represent us in dc. I cannot imagine that a federal agency, or even the president alone, has the authority to order this change.

People who cannot afford homes- should not be allowed to take out loans that they may default on in large numbers...at the expense of the rest of us. That’s what’s fair and reasonable, here.

Not more central planning and social engineering to honor some twisted definition of fairness or ‘leveling the playing field’.

All sorts of us got jobs...saved up. Bought small homes we could afford to start out...and built from there. Earn it. That’s what’s fair.

And no one that i have seen-yet-is challenging the notion that Biden’s regime cannot simply do this-on their own- and so, we’ll see where this goes.... but yet another screw job for responsible Americans who are following the rules and doing things the right way.

If you want a good credit score-build a good credit score.  If you want to buy a house- save up and earn the ability to buy a house.

Then buy a house that you can afford.

No wonder so many disgruntled Americans are moving out of the big cities and the blue states.

A new analysis of the census bureau is eye opening. A mass-migration to the red states has been occurring.

It is why we should only be encouraging disillusioned Illinoisans or Michiganders to move here if they are already conservatives and republicans....and aren’t dingbat democrats who are fleeing the mess that they have created...but will keep voting democrat.

This is what has happened to Colorado and Nevada and other states that became popular with disgruntled Californians.

But this shift is really striking in Illinois and New York.

The new friends and neighbors of those people need to impress upon them-that they are gop voters now. Vote republican, so you don’t destroy this community, too, you dopes.
