You’ve probably seen some coverage of the wild hearing on crime that house republicans held in the heart of New York city yesterday-
It was Jim Jordan, as head of the judiciary committee, killing two birds with one stone: first-
He and his committee have planned to have a series of traveling hearings, across the country, in our biggest cities, to hear directly from Americans on crime-
The crime that today’s democrats and the Soros DAs are intentionally ignoring and refusing to prosecute.
And then-the second mission of Jordan’s was to start in Manhattan, and highlight how a totally useless, pro-crime D-A - Alvin Bragg- is arrogantly refusing to address crime in New York-as he pursues criminal charges against Donald Trump in a totally invented- six year old- case.
That-is-one reason that congressman Jordan and the house judiciary members started in New York city, yes.
They want to expose this fat clown for what he is: an insult to law enforcement- and to any notion of ‘justice’, law, or order.
And the hearing didn’t disappoint. Even before it started, leftist cry-bullies tried to break into and shut down the hearing....
Here’s a bit of what it sounded like-with protestors jammed in the hallway outside of the hearing room...holding signs labeling Jim Jordan a traitor...and ‘assaulting democracy’....and ‘Trump’s errand boy’...etc.
That was clearly orchestrated by Bragg’s office and the activist army that New York democrats have at their beck and call any time they need it.
Many of these same people, no doubt, were tasked by Chuck Schumer of hounding Joe Manchin when he wouldn’t cave- on ‘build back better’.
It’s organized, paid, shock troops that the democrats have on retainer, I’m sure.
So that nonsense went on, outside, as Jim Jordan and the republicans tried to hold a hearing on ‘crime’....as the democrats on the panel tried to hold a hearing on ‘trump’.
However-the democrat’s attempts to keep turning the focus toward trump were ended rather quickly. When some of the disgruntled New Yorkers in the room- who really wanted to focus on crime-got angry and booed and shouted them down.
I have an example here of one of the women who testified. You’ll hear more of her testimony in a moment. But this is the mother of a New York city murder victim...Madeline Brame....who had a white liberal congressman ‘talking down to her’ as her testimony started.
The congressman was Dan Goldman of New York...and we pick up...after he has already suggested that anyone in the room-like Brame-who came to talk about crime...was just being used and duped by republicans. In short-a white elite congressman from New York was calling a middle-class black woman -and mother of a murder victim-stupid.

That interaction and a few more reactions from the crowd quickly blunted any attempt by the dems on this panel to play games and focus on trump.
That came to an end fairly quickly, after the dems realized that it was largely members of their own party who were in the hearing room- and they were there as New Yorkers furious over the high crime.
Then the hearing could get down to business... And various victims of New York crime told their stories. And to a witness-they all blasted Alvin Bragg and the liberal prosecutors in the city for being responsible for the rank lawlessness that ny city is experiencing.
According to stats- there were more than 170 thousand felonies. Just felonies. Reported in NYC last year....and witnesses blamed Bragg.
Brama’s testimony sort of set the tone for the meeting....and she was great...so here’s an edited version of what she said-
New York democrat Jerrold Nadler sits on this committee. And at one point-the father of a victim of an anti-Semitic assault in times square told him-point blank: you and Chuck Schumer are Jewish. You are our Jewish representatives in congress- and neither of you- nor your offices- helped my family or help the NY Jewish community.
Nadler and the democrats- only wanted to talk about Trump-and if they couldn’t do that-they were useless.
They must have expected that the visitors sitting in the gallery were going to be democrats that would have their back-
And instead-they were democrats who were so PO’d at their own party leaders about crime-that they wanted to vent at them.
This was a gallery full of people who had lost loved ones. They are advocates of murder victims and crime victims that Alvin Bragg and the liberals running New York have dismissed and ignored for years....and so.... there was some pent up venom.
It was great and the best thing about the hearing was- all sorts of media cameras were there. Liberal and conservative news outlets were going to ‘cover this one’ because they knew it could lead to some fireworks.
It was great theater, but it was also on an important issue....and the coverage benefits the republicans. It is a great move by Jordan and speaker McCarthy to do these traveling hearings on crime, the border, etc.
Get these beltway blobs outside of dc and let them experience what the rest of America is experiencing.
It’s a genius move...and our own congressman from the north woods- Tom Tiffany- sits on this committee....
He was there and said spoke up for the ignored victims of Milwaukee’s crime.
Folks- if republicans are going to make inroads with swing voters in battleground states- and are going to make 2024 about-the issues- and not a referendum on Donald trump-
This is the way. This is the way to do it. Holding high profile issues on the state of chaos and decay that democrat leaders around the country have our communities in- is a great way to do it.
And actually? The democrats on the committees are playing right into it. They are helping out Jordan and McCarthy and the GOP by objecting to -a- hearing from the American people directly, and-b- dismissing the very real ‘issue’, as nonsense.
Folks- to have democrats want to talk about trump yesterday when the topic was crime-made them look like idiots.
And to look like idiots in front of their own voters.
This hearing was good policy, and good politics, and to his credit, Jim Jordan kept the hearing focused on crime-and kept the crowd under control.... even gaveling them down as they jeered the democrats....
It made him and the GOP members look like strong and serious leaders, as Nadler and Goldman and the other democrats look like the rancid, game playing dopes that they are.
This is the activity that shows republicans to be the serious adults in the room-and in Washington dc- as today’s democrats act like children and appear to be actively ignoring the country’s problems....
And this is what the gop needs to project-to win elections. A seriousness of purpose-and on the issues-
Which has been lacking on our side of the aisle for some time, now.
