There was a bizarre situation this weekend, in which a ‘go fund me’ effort for the Canadian truckers hit ten-million dollars raised, and as it did-
The go-fund-me company decided to shut down that fundraiser, and instead of allowing the money to support their anti-mandate movement, to instead send it to charities.
This was after the Canadian prime minister and leftist media in that country railed against these truckers for a week and smeared them with attempts to insist, they were all racists and anarchists.
In short-it was the sort of government and media organized smear campaign against the Canadian truckers that we’ve seen against Trump supporters or anti-mandate movements here, in America.
Apparently, Toronto’s leftist government isn’t much different than ours in DC: if ‘the people’ are doing something they don’t like, they’ll get their accomplices in the media to smear and ruin the people engaging in it.
And so- according to reports, the media coverage in Canada of this trucker protest has been universally negative. Universally anti-trucker. And still, a huge number of Canadians supporting freedom and wanting out from under Trudeau’s bullying mandates, have rallied to their side.
The fact that supporters would take a
Go-fund-me effort and rocket it up to ten-million dollars in a matter of days, speaks to the level of support that these truckers have with the people.
And it sounds like Trudeau’s government got to the ‘go fund me’ execs and insisted they stop that effort
This is getting to be like Facebook or twitter or anything else, the crybully left is getting all sorts of corporate members to cave to their demands and act as additional gatekeepers for the leftist causes, and that, more and more, is forcing efforts that mirror those, to have to be formed on the right.
I wouldn’t be surprised if someone wasn’t already organizing a ‘go fund me’ for conservative causes and for those who don’t want to be controlled, or blackballed, by go-fund-me.
Why is go fund me making-any- political or value judgments on the accounts that are being set up if they are just the platform for them?
This is like the leftists attacking Spotify because they are the distributors for Joe Rogan. They are simply the ‘go-between’. An organizing platform. And they shouldn’t be censoring anyone, or making value judgments on anything, aside from ‘is it criminal or not’?
If people are using their platforms as a vehicle for criminal activity, yes, of course step in and stop it. But to be the ‘speech police’ or the ‘value police’ for the left?
That’s way out of bounds.
These truckers weren’t engaging in any violence or harassment of the sort. Trudeau’s government just claimed they were, to give
Go-fund-me an excuse to shut down the fundraiser. And then, to keep the donations and decide that, instead of automatically refunding them to the donors, they were going to give it to charities of their choosing-
What was that?
That’s not how ‘defunct’ go-fund-me efforts are resolved. They always simply return the donations to the people who donated them.
In this instance, go-fund-me execs were going to try to ‘virtue signal’ using ten-million dollars’ worth of other people’s money?
It had Elon Musk calling go-fund-me execs thieves on twitter. It had Ron DeSantis vowing a criminal probe
Well, whether it was that threat, or others,
Go-fund- me eventually backed down and said they would return the donations to the donors.
But Trudeau and his scummy government still got what they wanted: a halt to what was a major display of public support for these anti-mandate truckers.
Isn’t it funny how the ‘woke’ leftists like Justin Trudeau, or AOC, and old socialists like Bernie, are always calling for a revolt of the workers-
But now they are denouncing this worker revolt?
Isn’t that an interesting irony?
Trudeau and the liberal Canadian government have done nothing but trash and smear these truckers for a week...but.... her. They are just engaging in the very sort of ‘worker’s protest’ that the socialist progressive left and the so-called ‘worker parties’ have been suggesting for years.
Apparently, when the people rise and fight back, it can only be on pre-approved issues that the socialist leaders find worthy. They only want the masses protesting on their behalf.
They don’t really want them standing up for worker or individual freedoms.
This Canadian trucker strike has made that crystal clear.
This is a working-class revolution that the left hates. Gee. Why?
Because the elitists on the left simply want to control everyone. Their list of ‘hero’s’ and ‘villains’ changes routinely, based on the whims of the leftist crybullies.
And by the way-Canada is such a highly vaxxed country that the mandate for truckers is silly.It’s as silly as the forced mandates that president bidden put on federal and health care workers here:hen 95 percent of them are already vaxxed, what possible good does it do to continue to bully and fire those who simply refuse to comply. They are such a small sliver; it’d be far smarter to just ‘let it go’ at this point.
And so, both Trudeau and Biden, and their regimes, show how ‘real’ this totalitarian streak is-on today’s left. They want to control the rest of us by any means necessary, and nothing is more infuriating to them than when they are told ‘no’.
America’s leftists and crybullies have done everything they can, over the last two years, to gaslight and bully Americans into compliance on vaccines and covid protocols, and continue to try to do so, even as their dishonesty is revealed.
Do you know that-last week- virtually all the major left wing media outlets refused to report on the Johns Hopkins study that said lockdowns were ruinous for us, and should not be part of any future pandemic plans?
Now-that’s a very serious and important clarification of ‘the science’ of a viral pandemic. Further, it is coming from one of the most credible health organizations in the world- Johns Hopkins-
And most of America’s big media outlets refused to report on it? Really?
The mouthpieces and propagandists on the left-virtually all of whom still pretend they are being unbiased- all continued to protect the dc bureaucrats and bullies, instead.
Ditto on the question of natural immunity. For two years, the elitists and globalists in government, big media, and big tech worked in concert to ignore natural immunity as ‘a thing’. As real.
The CDC and Fauci’s NIH have been proven to have been lying to the American people for two years now, as they pimped their vaccines.
