The prosecution is proving this should have never went to trial

Jay Weber Show transcript 11-10-21 6:40am

Friends...if life was fair and logical- the Kyle Rittenhouse trial should be over today.

As it is- Rittenhouse’s defense team should start the day by asking the judge for the case to be dismissed...based on the total lack of a case that the prosecution has put on over the last week.

It is not an exaggeration to say that prosecutors in Kenosha County have spent five days in court harming their own case more than helping it...

And based on what has transpired in court- these are charges that never-should have brought in the first place.

With so much real crime to prosecute in Kenosha county, the da never should have brought these charges.

Even after he did file them- he and the prosecution team should have been honest with what they discovered and ended up having in terms of evidence -before-the trial ever started, and then dropped the charges and admitted they had no case at that point.

Because, for a week now, they have just been wasting everyone’s time.

Last week saw a series of prosecution witnesses that backfired on them and ended up making a stronger case for self-defense...but...But..

We were told that yesterday, the prosecutors were going to close with their most compelling witness: the man who Rittenhouse shot who survived.

Two men died- a third survived but was shot thru the bicep as he was seen trying to kick Rittenhouse in the head. He also had a pistol in his hand. This was going to be the prosecutors killer witness.

Folks...

This guy ended up confirming that Kyle Rittenhouse didn’t fire at him until he moved his pistol up toward Rittenhouse as if to fire!

This clown’s name is Gaige Grosskreutz, and he sounds like a perpetual left-wing protestor. The guy has been to over 75 of the left’s protest-riots and claims that he only goes to offer his medical services to people who might be hurt in them.

He’s a trained EMT and feels like he’s doing his part for the anarchists by showing up to protest and riot. But also, to provide medical care for anyone who might need it.

Well, in his testimony, he admitted that he came at Rittenhouse with his pistol out.... because he came across the scene as Kyle was running away and others chasing him were saying: stop that guy- he just shot someone.

But he admitted-he thought Rittenhouse was in physical danger because he was being attacked by a guy using a skateboard to beat him. The defense attorney asked:

But the deflating moment of his testimony is when Grosskreutz admits that Rittenhouse didn’t fire on him until he made a menacing move of his own, with his pistol.

This is audio taken from some website that has young lawyers watching the trial and commenting in real time-as if they are watching a video game-so you will hear some excited commentary here. It’s goofy. But it also captures the flavor of the moment for court watchers...

Because...it is the defense attorney for Rittenhouse getting this protestor to admit that Rittenhouse only fired at him after Rittenhouse had reason to believe that Grosskreutz was going to fire.

That moment-was so bad- that a member of the prosecution can be seen doing a face palm...into his hand...and putting his head down in defeat.

That’s’ how dramatic this moment was in court, and the one that analysis will point to as the one that sealed the deal for Rittenhouse’ acquittal-

At least on the most serious charges-if it comes to that.

But-to a reasonable jury- self-defense has been proven before Rittenhouse’s lawyers ever present their case! Which is expected to start either today or tomorrow.

But-sincerely- the judge presiding over this case could stop it now based on -any- incriminating evidence against Rittenhouse.

These prosecutors have provided-nothing- and no witnesses-that prove the scenario that Rittenhouse was the aggressor and....somehow?... Was running someone down to murder him. Shoot him in the back twice? As they claimed in their opening arguments?

For any honest or reasonable jury, this trial is already over. You -cannot- send a person to prison based on this pathetic case. Which it’s now clear-never should have been brought.

This was a left-wing Kenosha County DA figuring he was going to either be harshly blasted by his own side of the aisle if he didn’t charge Rittenhouse-

Or- a guy who wanted to launch some cause on behalf of the activist left-but either way, this case never should have been filed.

The evidence that the prosecutor spent a week introducing- supported Rittenhouse’s claims of self-defense.

And so- i can think of only two reasons that this jury might end up with a conviction on the most serious charges: one- Rittenhouse’s defense now blows the ‘win’ that that they have here, at half time, as they present their self-defense case.

Maybe Kyle is put on the stand and says something stupid-which isn’t out of the question-given the stupid series of decisions he made following the shooting...

And two- maybe the jury focuses on the fact that the idiot shouldn’t have been there at all that night.

It could be that the jury cannot overlook the fact that a 17-year-old with a high-powered rifle and an obsession with law enforcement put himself in the position to kill people...

Because...as I’ve said from the beginning on this case-there is nothing reasonable or smart, about having a 17-year-old high school drop-out playing ‘cop’ with his friends with real rifles in the middle of a riot. And the adults who enabled him should have been held criminally accountable.

If we are interested in justice being served-there is no way the Kenosha prosecutors have proven the charges. This last week has been so ridiculous that Rittenhouse’s team could decide to simply fore-go a defense and ask the jury to decide now and he’d almost certainly still be acquitted. This has gone that badly for the Kenosha DA.
