Raymond School on Soft Lockdown Amid Threats to Conservative Board Members

Raymond School in Racine County was placed on a soft lockdown Wednesday morning amid ongoing threats of violence against conservative school board members who have moved to fire the school's principal.

One such threatening letter obtained by "The Dan O'Donnell Show" warns a board member that Chicago-area gang members will "make a stop off on the Highway G exit to make a visit" if she does not being "an extreme bitch to Raymond School employees and others living in Raymond."

The school's superintendent ordered a soft lockdown after a liberal activist showed up at the school Wednesday morning and, as he himself admitted to "The Dan O'Donnell Show," made school employees "feel uncomfortable" as he repeatedly demanded records surrounding the firing of Principal Jeffrey Peterson.

Peterson, who is openly gay, took to social media last month after learning that the Raymond School Board would not be renewing his employment contract. He posted the names, email addresses, and phone numbers of board members in an effort to rally supporters to his cause.

Those supporters showed up at the board's annual meeting last month to protest the board's decision and try to stop the non-renewal of Peterson's contract. Almost immediately afterwards, threats were mailed to multiple conservative board members as well as Raymond's superintendent.

Although their identities are a matter of public record, "The Dan O'Donnell Show" is not naming them as they are the victims of ongoing harassment and threats of violence.

"We are providing notice and giving you an option to correct your behavior before we correct it for you," one letter to the board's president reads. "You either stop this behavior now or you resign from the school board. If you fail to do either there will be consequences imposed."

The letter then makes specific allegations of wrongdoing that the letter's author threatens to expose if the board president does not resign or acquiesce to the author's demands. The author then makes a bizarre threat of violence.

"Remember those black prostitutes you had no opposition to, we know their real friends on the Southside of Chicago," the letter reads. "We know they make regular trips along I-94 to Milwaukee for deliveries.

"They would be happy to make a stop off on the Highway G exit to make a visit. They would be in and out in no time. Would you welcome them?"

After that chilling threat, the author then informs the board president that this is "the only notice to correct your behavior that you will be given."

"You stop it now, or you will not stop us," the author continues. "We have extreme patience when we choose to act. We work with long time frames. You can expect us to take action when you are least aware."

That letter and others like it were forwarded to local law enforcement, which is currently investigating.

"Law enforcement officers and other security personnel will be present at all times during the meeting for security and safety," the district said in an amended notice of the meeting.
