Former Milwaukee County Executive Robbed at Gunpoint in Attempted Car Theft

Former Milwaukee County Executive Chris Abele was robbed at gunpoint in an attempted carjacking Sunday night in which the suspect fired two shots in to Abele's car when he was unable to drive off in it.

According to an incident report, Abele was "driving eastbound on E. Capitol Dr." in Shorewood just after 7:00 pm when the suspect's vehicle passed Abele's "vehicle and puled in front of it, forcing it to stop. The driver of the suspect vehicle exited the vehicle and approached the victim. The suspect then ordered the victim out of the vehicle at gunpoint, got into the driver's seat of the victim's vehicle, and attempted to drive off."

The suspect was unable to start Abele's car and grew frustrated, so he got out and stole Abele's wallet before trying unsuccessfully to start the car again and walking away.

He then said, "'F*** you and f*** your car and pointed his gun at the vehicle and fired two rounds, striking the victim's vehicle once above the rear driver side door."

A second suspect then pulled up and drove the gunman away. Their vehicle is described as an older silver or gray sedan. The gunman is described as a black male, under the age of 20 who is between 6'0" and 6'2 tall" with a skinny build. Both suspects are still on the loose.
