Were Illegal Votes Cast in Milwaukee Tuesday Night?

A witness reports that he and several other people were given stickers indicating that they could vote at Washington High School in Milwaukee even though they got in line a half hour after the polls ended.

Wisconsin law expressly forbids anyone from voting after 8:00 pm on Election Day unless they are in line at their polling location at 8:00.

In an email to "The Dan O'Donnell Show," the witness wrote:

I just came from Washington High School which is one of the Milwaukee voting locations. I've heard that voters are allowed to vote late and that the voting rules aren't really enforced in Milwaukee so I thought I'd go see for myself. Yes, it is true. I arrived at 8:30 and there were about 250 people still in line outside of the school and still more voters arriving and not being turned away as we all should have been. After getting in line at 8:30 (which I should not have been allowed to do), I was given a pink ticket which would allow me to vote. If I can do it, anyone can. No one was watching, much less enforcing the "end of the line" or the 8:00 pm cut off. I think the Republican Party would be smart to hire about ten lawyers or someone who knows all election laws and have them all be at the end of the line outside of all Milwaukee voting stations and demand that no one else be able to get in line and illegally vote. No one is enforcing this!

The witness provided "The Dan O'Donnell Show" with video of the encounter, in which he tells the election worker handing out tickets, "I got in the line at 8:30. Is that okay?"

"Yeah, I'm just gonna give tickets until I'm told otherwise," the worker answered.

A few minutes later, a worker who identified herself as the polling location's supervisor came outside and another worker explained to her what happened.

"We had a situation where there were people who weren't at the back of the line, they were in front a little bit but they said they didn't have tickets at like 8:30, so we gave them tickets," he said.

"It was after 8:00?" the woman asked.

"It was after 8:00," he answered.

The witness confirmed that the people who were given tickets even though they were not in line went inside Washington High School to vote.

"The Dan O'Donnell Show" is not publishing the video, as it features the witness' easily identifiable voice prominently.
