The shooting death of three year-old Brooklyn Harris' in a road rage incident near 42nd and Concordia Saturday was the 54th homicide of a child in Milwaukee over the past five-and-a-half years. Since 2014, an average of 9.8 children die in homicides in the city. Of the 54 total victims, 24 (45 percent) were nine years old or younger.
Just three weeks before Brooklyn's death, a Milwaukee man punched and killed his five year-old son because the boy ate a piece of the man's Father's Day cheesecake.
