The freshman class of Democratic women has been heralded as the savior of the party, but the rabid antisemitism of two of its members is ripping it in two.
After Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar tweeted out yet another antisemitic trope (a reference to supposed Jewish financial control over American politicians), her fellow Democrats were sufficiently shamed into demanding an apology.
Omar, however, couldn't just offer a straightforward mea culpa without throwing in a caveat: "At the same time, I reaffirm the problematic role of lobbyists in our politics, whether it be AIPAC, the NRA, or the fossil fuel industry."
Her latest tweet, though, was just the latest in a long string of antisemitism from Omar and fellow freshman Democrat Rashida Tlaib. For the shameful history, listen to this:
