Democrats are whiney liars on the topic of ‘tax cuts going to the rich’

I notice that Bruce Murphy of Urban Milwaukee has a column this week that -once again- passionately makes what is the absolute dumbest argument that lefties make on tax cuts. (link to story at the bottom)

It amuses me how huffy and self-righteous democrats and left-wing pundits like murphy will get, when tax cuts go to the people who pay the taxes!

Bruce Murphy has a passionate, three-page column on how Wisconsin Republicans have harmed the voters on the lower rungs while only giving tax cuts to fat cats-for a decade now-since walker...

And his entire column can be debunked by a simple sentence: what’s fair, is giving the surplus taxes back to the people who actually paid them in.

Period.

The column is so foolish that it is not even worth doing a deep dive of analysis.

Do you understand why that is? Because the people making the most income-got taxed the most-and sent the most in. Right?

These stats probably are not wrong, but Murphy’s rhetorical use of them is.

Would we be shocked to hear that most shark attacks occur in the ocean, because that is where the sharks are?

Then why would we be surprised that the people who bear the largest tax burden...get the most back when there is a surplus?

They should, shouldn’t they? They have been paying the most in!

That is what’s fair.

But what Murphy and Bernie and the Democrats want is- a redistribution of income. Not what’s fair.

And every part of murphy’s rhetoric is dishonest. He says at one point: this is hardly the first time Wisconsin republicans have skewed their tax cuts to benefit the wealthy.

That is simple false.

They are not skewing anything. They are saying: we are going to give...three percent back to everyone who paid in...

How is that skewing anything toward the rich?

If you paid zero in, you do not get three percent back. Shut up and stop whining about your free ride.

If you aren’t, quote wealthy and you don’t have those things, you aren’t paying those taxes at all, you dope!

Correct?

If you do not have a portfolio to tax for capital gains, you, on the lower rungs-do not pay that tax.

If you do not have a health savings account that’s getting taxed.... then you do not pay that tax.

So why in the hell do you deserve a tax break when other people get it?

Do you see how idiotic this argument is?

One sentence-you can explain why Murphy and Biden, and Baldwin, and Pocan, and all of them on the left are being foolish when they whine about tax cuts going to the people who pay taxes, when, by definition: if you do not pay taxes in, you do not get anything back when the other people who did pay taxes...get something back.

Correct?

Let me use a simple explanation, illustrating why Democrats are whiney liars on this topic if ‘tax cuts going to the rich’.

But here is the easy analogy, of what Bruce Murphy is really whining about:

If you and five friends ordered pizza and it came out to 40 dollars...but two people did not have money...so, before the pizza guy came, the four who did have money all kicked in ten dollars...

Are you with me? The pizza costs 40 dollars. There are six of you, but two do not have cash, so the four who do toss in ten dollars each.

If that pizza money is set aside....and for some reason...the pizza never comes....Well then, who gets money back when that 40-dollar pot is divided back up?

Do the four people who kicked in ten dollars get their ten dollars back?

Or do the other two people who did not have money...now get 8 dollars out?

Democrats are whiney liars on this topic of ‘tax cuts going to the rich’...and their followers are ignorant, whiney idiots to fall for it.

Because-in virtually every situation-they are not talking about tax cuts going to the rich: they are talking about tax cuts going to the people who pay the most in taxes!

This is the dumbest talking point the left has, but a combination if voter ignorance and class envy keep it going.

It is the lie that they use because they want to use the IRS and our state treasuries to redistribute wealth, rather than honor the people who pay the most in taxes and carry the largest tax burdens. And it is the definition of unfair.

These tax cuts, as written into the state budget, could not be fairer: everyone who pays state income taxes in the biggest, most middle class bracket- from 24-grand a year all the way up to those who make 260 grand a year- will pay one percent less.

What could be fairer?
