The government that's closest to home in the most important.

There is a lot at stake in the 2020 presidential race.

But there is also way too much attention being paid to whoever runs one third of the federal government.

The real work of government is done at the local level. In other words, it's the government that's closest to home that is the most important.

For example look at local schools.

The decisions made by local school boards impact what your kids eat, learn, see, play, and do. And if you haven't noticed, many local schools are becoming more and more liberal.

Look at Madison schools and their debate over school resource officers.

What should be a simple idea of having police in schools to keep students safe has become another front in the war on cops.

Think what you will of President Trump and Nancy Pelosi. But, with the exception of firing nuclear missiles, there is very little they can do to impact your life quickly.

Local government, local schools, local libraries can create new (progressive policies) in about two weeks.
