Milwaukee ranks as one of the worst cities for marijuana. What?

Jay Weber Show transcript 4-18-24

So-here’s an example of how completely backwards America has become on drugs.

The J/S has a story posted about how-

And this is the direct headline: Milwaukee ranks as one of the worst cities for marijuana, a study says.

now- if you’re over the age of 30, and you hear that headline, what do you think?

Milwaukee ranks as one of the worst cities for marijuana, a study says.

You’d think that-wow- we must have a terrible problem with potheads and marijuana abuse in Milwaukee. Right?

Then you’d think- but everyone tells me that America’s big cities simply reek of pot now. Everywhere you go...in Chicago. In New York, in DC, all our major cities reek of pot because there’s so much drug abuse going on-

And that doesn’t pertain to Milwaukee. I don’t smell pot everywhere i go in Milwaukee, so, we can’t be one of the ‘worst’ cities for pot.

Oh-but we are. Because America is so ‘bleeped up’ and backward when it comes to pot now, that what the j/s’s headline means is: we don’t allow pot here.

Folks-the fact that pot isn’t legal here-

The fact that Milwaukee doesn’t smell like a Rastafarian’s bedroom- is a bad thing.

How screwed up is this?

And the woke, wonderful j/s reporter doesn’t even report this ironically. The paper’s story is literally related to how bad it is that Milwaukee isn’t one of the most permissive cities when it comes to open air drug abuse and pot usage.

Good grief. And of course, it’s terribly unfair that most Wisconsinites-want it to be- but evil republicans here are standing in the way.

Quote-

Penalties for possession vary. A first offense is a misdemeanor that carries a maximum penalty of 6 months in prison and a $1,000 fine. Additional offense are charged as felonies.

Transporting marijuana from one state back to Wisconsin is a federal crime because cannabis is still illegal under federal law. Wisconsin is entirely surrounded by neighboring states that have made marijuana legal for medical and/or recreational use.

This is infuriating: we are the ‘worst’ for weed because we don’t allow it-and the criterion for that conclusion are ‘how much pot is available’, when only a few years ago-

The criterion would be: how many drug arrests are there? How many hospitalizations related to overdoses or pot-poisoned kids are we seeing?

How many parks have been taken over by potheads and heroin addicts.

Now you are one of the ‘worst cities’ if you aren’t dealing with any of those pot-related problems.

How moronic. And Greg Borowski and the editors at the Journal Sentinel should be embarrassed by how their paper chose to couch this.

In fact- let me give you the list that the J/S says are the ‘best cities’ for weed in the US

Then give you those that are deemed ‘the worst’.

Here are the best cities for weed- as determined by the potheads who did this idiotic survey:

Top cities for weed in the U.S.

According to the report, these are the top ten best cities for weed in the U.S.:

1.     Denver, CO

2.    Portland, OR

3.    Las Vegas, NV

4.    Buffalo, NY

5.    Baltimore, MD

6.    Phoenix, AZ

7.    Seattle, WA

8.   Sacramento, CA

9.    Kansas City, MO

10.Providence, RI

Worst cities for weed in the U.S.

According to the report, these are the top ten worst cities for weed in the U.S.:

1.     Louisville, KY

2.    Dallas, TX

3.    Atlanta, GA

4.    Houston, TX

5.    Birmingham, AL

6.    Nashville, TN

7.    Charlotte, NC

8.   Milwaukee, WI

9.    Memphis, TN

10.    Indianapolis, IN

Is it just me? Or would you also – absolutely-rather visit the ten ‘worst cities’ than the ten ‘best cities’ here?

It can’t be just me who looks at this list of the ‘best cities for weed’ and sees mostly crappy cities whose downtowns i wouldn’t want to visit.

Downtown Denver has changed-dramatically-if you don’t know. Between the legalized drugs and flood of illegals-it’s all tent cities and despair.

Portland? Come on.

Seattle? Just as bad as Portland.

Baltimore? It’s hell’s vestibule.

Meanwhile-the so-called ‘worst’ cities for weed are the ones that sound safest and most loveable, no?  Louisville, Birmingham, Nashville, Charlotte, Memphis, Dallas, Houston.

I’m not saying that a few of those don’t have questionable downtowns or trouble with tent cities-but in general- which list of cities would you rather visit or vacation in?

This list of ‘best cities for potheads’... Is like coming up with a list of ‘best cities for prostitutes.

Oh, Las Vegas is full of them. Number one. Houston? Hos all over. It’s great.

Chicago? They’re fat but they’re cheap and there are a lot of them- number three.

Really? This is the type of list that the J/S ‘employees’ are wasting ink on?
