The coordinated Arab defense of Israel is a result of the Abraham Accords

Jay Weber Show transcript 4-16-24 8am

How did the Biden team pulled together several our ‘soft’ allies in the middle east to help thwart the massive air attack against Israel on Saturday.

I mentioned that Jordan had participated-as an Arab state- in knocking down some of these missiles. It turns out that Saudi Arabia and other key Arab govts also played a role.

For some of them-it was simply tipping off the US and Israel to the attack-and telling us what their spies in Iran were telling them-

And in other instances-it was providing military support in making sure the bombings weren’t successful.

It’s an interesting story, really, and it starts with Donald Trump and the Abraham accords.

Honestly.

Believe it or not- the spirit of cooperation with Israel and the US that these Arab nations displayed last week-has its roots in the economic accords that trump, Pompeo, and Kushner forged during the Trump era.

Their work-which democrats only ever want to trash- pays off, again, and of course they are getting no credit.

The Biden regime-whose ‘Saturday success’ is built off of Trump’s diplomacy in the middle east-and moving peace agreements forward for the first time in 40 years in that region- isn’t even being mentioned by the Biden White House as playing a role, here.

But various news outlets reported on how this impressive display of ‘high tech missile defense’ came together.

And you need to get way, way deep into any of the stories before these news outlets admit Biden’s team could only call on these nations at the last minute- thanks to Trump.

This idea that they all ‘rally to each other’s defense against Iran’.... was being hashed out in the Trump era- that Biden’s regime was at least smart enough to ‘keep going’ once they took office.

So- this weekend- it was put to the test.

Arab countries offered help in defending against the Iranian attacks because they saw the benefits of cooperating with the U.S. and Israel, as long as it remained low profile, said Yasmine Farouk, a nonresident fellow at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, a Washington-based think tank.

“Gulf countries know they still don’t have the same level of support that Israel gets from the United States and see what they did [Saturday] as a way of getting it in the future,” she said.

The Iranian missiles and drones were tracked from the moment they launched by early warning radars in Persian Gulf countries linked to the U.S. operations center in Qatar, which transmitted the information to fighters jets from several countries in the airspace over Jordan and other countries, as well as to warships at sea and missile-defense batteries in Israel, officials said.

That’s great news-but is this being widely reported in the US?

No.

Because Trump would need to be given credit.

Is the Biden White House eager to tell this tale and praise the new alliances?

No. Because then Trump would need to be given some credit.
